During that encounter, Stewart said he witnessed humiliation, denigration and intimidation of a Black football player over academic issues. Stewart said the incident felt eerily similar to Minneapolis police officers' treatment of George Floyd before a white officer knelt on the back of Floyd's neck until he died.

"After watching George Floyd being humiliated before he died, it triggered in me the times I saw or heard about certain coaches humiliate student-athletes and the fact that not going public made me complicit and compromised my integrity,'' said the 65-year-old Stewart, who is white. "I also became conscious that racism is about being a bully. In that encounter with the Black student-athlete, Coach Addazio had this attitude that he's bigger and more powerful than the student-athlete. The student was enslaved.''

i think daz's goose might be cooked.

"But what disturbed me most about his behavior was the contemptuous and entitled way he acted like he could treat myself and the student-athlete any way he chose. In neither one of those situations was the player's welfare the most important concern.''

A football staff member said Addazio later "bragged'' to coaches at a meeting about the verbal berating he handed the player, who the staffer described as a sensitive kid who was sobbing after the encounter.

"He comes all animated about it and yelling and pretty proud of himself,'' the staffer said. "He says, 'This f------ douche bag (name omitted), I unloaded on him.'"

Parker told the Coloradoan on Saturday: “That’s tough language, troubling. If that proves to be true, that is not acceptable. Not what I want represented in our program.’’

Correct. The White Savior is becoming a big thing now. What better way to prove you're one of the "good ones" than to tell black people to sit down and tell them how they should feel.
Generally black people hate these types too.

This guy should be cancelled before Addazio gets cancelled himself.

Addazio won't last. Cancel Culture has him front and center on their radar. The pussies out there can't handle the "old school" tough love antics he pulls. This little Bitch, Jimmy Stewart, is the worst sort of self-loathing white apologist that is killing this country. Likening every tough situation into some sort of racial injustice is one of the things leading us toward CWII. Jesus Christ, we're surrounded by feckless cowards.

...a 65-year-old white social worker whose job appears to be discussing mental health issues with CSU athletes and reporting to his employers any concerning behavior, and in the story was recounting both the contents of his own conversation with the gym teacher and the substance of the gym teacher's behavior toward one of his players.

The 65 year old white social worker was also a college All-American and played in the NFL, so this is not his first dance with football coaches.

Addazio belittles and screams at people because he is not a smart person and hopes intimidation will hide that fact, because he does not know how to talk to people and is too old, dumb and self-involved to try to learn, because he cares about people only to the extent they can help him get ahead, and because he's a shit coach who has no ideas, and knows his only hope of matching his previous meager and infrequent successes is to "have 'em ready to run through a wall." He sucks, in short, and I'd be shocked to find people here defending him if it weren't in the context of calling young people, especially young black people, spoiled crybabies who should accept being treated like shit and say thank you for the opportunity.

Because you need it spelled out for you, this guy is a bitch for bringing Saint George Floyd's hallowed name into a discussion of how Daz talks to people and claiming that Daz "enslaved" the student (direct quote), because the OBVIOUS implication he's making is that Daz is a racist just like the slave owners and racism kills people like George Floyd, and it's an all-too-common and cowardly and transparent attempt to get a man fired with hit-and-run insinuations of racism that he makes no attempt to found.

I missed the part where anyone here disagreed with the fact that Daz was a dumb old asshole that behaves poorly and coaches for shit, and yells at the players to overcompensate. That's precisely what he is and always has been, and it never was shoved into the box containing vague and conclusory racial overtones until recent events had everyone looking for them. Guy's just a loud mouth dick.

McConnell announced the investigation would be conducted by law firm Husch Blackwell, based in Kansas City, Mo. The firm recently completed an investigation into the University of Iowa football program.

Cost is somewhere in the six-figure to $1 million range, depending how thorough they are.

sean sylvia essentially affirmed the allegations happened while he was at bc (sans the racism stuff as he didn't feel comfortable commenting)

everyone was told to keep it in house and there was retribution if you spoke out. as an alum was held against him, reserved tickets at will call for games and someone at BC would yank the tickets without telling him.

The way I interpreted that last sentence was after Sean Sylvia left school (and therefore was an alum) he was treated with retribution for speaking out about the way our former coach "motivated" his players. One example of this retribution was when Sean would go to the will-call window for tickets to Boston College football games, he was told were reserved for him, there would be no tickets actually available.

I do not know enough about Sean Silvia to suggest whether he could be a resident of Arizona or not, but I do not think it is a very far-fetched story based on how the nincompoop that used to coach here conducted himself on the sideline, in interviews, in press conferences, etc. I feel fairly certain the guy is going to get fired by Colorado State and the pockets of players that don't like getting yelled at as a method of motivation will win in getting him "cancelled." I'm surprised it actually took two story balloons to accomplish their goal, both the lack of COVID concerns and the being mean and maybe racist stories each feel like they should have been enough to reverse a bad decision suffered by a school that likely had buyers remorse.

When all is said and done, maybe he can join Coach Jags as a high school assistant coach somewhere.

That wouldn't surprise me. I have 9903 on foe as well. I put him there years ago, I have no memory as to why. But I can safely say that if he made foe, there was a very good reason for it (and lots of warnings for accounts that are NOT sockpuppets prior to blacklisting.) Once you make my blacklist, you don't come off.
