I don't think they'd go for him -- they went for the recruiter-type in Muschamp and that didn't work out great for them. I also don't think Adazzio is inclined to leave after 2 years, b/c 2 years at Temple, 2 years at BC. That pretty much would have to make Fla his last stop - who would hire him after that?

surprised rich rod is mentioned. If I were Florida AD, I would go after Patterson, Malzahn and Mullen. In that order.

Then I'd go after Addazio, Ryan Day and TOB.

Florida can land whoever Florida wants. Probably one of the Top 5 jobs in all of college sports. They shouldn't worry about style of offense or defense. They should just concentrate on bringing in a competent head coach... specifically someone who can be a good "face of the program". All the other stuff will take care of itself (including recruiting).

Apparently, Bob Stoops, Rich Rod, and Dan Mullen are off the list.

Also, Steve Spurrier may have been on the list, but he's not on the list anymore.

I'm hearing that Tom Landry and Chuck Noll have been taken off the list too. But this is from the same source that gave me the Jay Wright to BC rumors.

Schiano would never have interest in coaching BC. Not surprisingly, Mass prefers short buses to vans.

not like we were worried about it but sounds like daz isn't a huge fan of the nfl...

"That's what doesn't fire me up about the NFL," he said. "Are they teams or are they just a bunch of good players? It never appealed to me to coach in the NFL for that reason. I hear about, 'You can't coach that guy hard because he makes more money than you.' I mean, what are we talking about here?

Yes... Determination to win. "Always to be the best and be above the others," (which completes that Iliad line). Counts for a lot. (And, that's why I respect the Bordner to Murphy call.)

Many EO posters spend a lot of time ranting, decrying and defaming Don Brown's defensive coaching. With a D that has no Kuechlys, Rajis, Kiwis or Herzlichs - the BC D had some major accomplishments (listed below)

* BC D ranked 12 in total defense http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/22

* BC D ranked 19 in scoring defense http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/22

* BC D ranked 15th in fewest 1st downs http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/694

The did this while playing a schedule rated by the NCAA's formula as the 15 toughest http://www.fbschedules.com/2014/04/2014 ... aa-method/

2014 is a BC D that will make BCDee proud for years to come.

Will the Don Brown haters respond or repent?

He's done ok but let's not just ignore the ball control running offense that significantly shortens every game...

We also going to ignore the total lack of talent in the secondary that was left by Spaz?

Well the pass defense still sucks, not sure why that disproves the fact that all our bulk defense stats should be taken with a grain of salt due to the running game. Thankfully, we've also played a collection of terrible QB's that couldn't make us pay

We also played against the reigning Heisman Trophy winner and held him to his fewest point total ever.

Our secondary talent level is awful. No matter how you break it down, this defense had a terrific year.

His inability to get off the field consistently on 3rd down (and some glaring 3rd and long conversions this past year) and the routes that are open in the intermediate middle of the field are still the main concern to me. I was shocked that so many teams continued to try to run on BC, specifically USC, who I think if they played again, would shred the defense with Kessler.

I think there is a moderate level of talent on the DL (altho dangerously thin in numbers and they havent shown the ability to consistently create pressure on their own) and the LB group is one that is solid with decent depth. I think they have done a good job at least bringing in a higher level of talent/athlete to the secondary, but it remains to be seen how they respond vs the pass.
