The Dazzler has done more outreach to the BC Community and to the community in general in four weeks than Coach Sadface did in 20 years.

After Addazio spoke to 30 Burke athletes Tuesday morning as part of the Boston Scholar Athlete’s Speaker Series — telling the student-athletes to stay away from marijuana, to respect women, and to just be a “good dude” — Burke football coach Byron Beaman said he recorded the speech so he can show it to his players anytime he feels they need to hear the message from a higher authority. - See more at: http://www.boston.com/schools/extras/bp ... m9hlG.dpuf

Not true, Spaz had a huge influence on the little leaguers of Hingham

Spaz was a big supporter of the GSUSA and the DFA.

So... instead of recruiting kids to find a "BC Guy", we will be looking for "good dudes".

Nope, now we will recruit some straight gangsters (like the Pounceys when they were getting shot at or shooting people or whatever) and turn them into good dudes.

I like the Dazzler's pitch and in the context of Percy Harvin his weed comments make some sense, but in the abstract it sounds like he's a proponent of:

It is great that BC finally has a coach willing to do local outreach like every other program.

Did anyone watch the video? I thought it was funny that the word that Dazoo didn't know how to spell was "development". First, because it is the second half of Master's meaningless, reflexively turned phrase. Second, that Daz is being forced to include "student development" in his recruiting letters.

a poster elswhere is saying that the Dazzler has already removed a couple of incumbent players from the team, no further information given.

It's hard to imagine that we have kids with attitude problems left on the team, since Spazoo threw people in the doghouse if they said anything other than "yes sir". That said, it is possible that there are some who were kept in line by a now-departed coach. Or, there definitely could be players who aren't willing to work hard in the stepped-up training program (not unlike what happened between Coughlin and Bicknell). Howevever, if that is the case, these should largely be back-ups or players who haven't yet made an impact.

Nonetheless, it goes to show that we had PLENTY of schollies to hand out. Dazoo may have decided not to (because he thinks he can land a better talent recruiting over the course of a year and coaching a down-trodden team to a bowl in his first season, than taking a kid after 2-months with BC coming off its highest loss total in history)... I think there is a valid argument there. But, the tantrums thrown by certain posters in an ill-informed defense of their new program savior is proving to be, not surprisingly, wrong.

It doesn't work like that.

I really enjoyed out how for 99.9% of this post you argue for one side and then in the last sentence take the opposing argument. Well done. :kudos

I like how the post was more or less a tantrum.
