Scoring points is the objective of an offense & Addazio's last 4 teams have averaged 30.2 a game.

so in 3 of the last 4 years his team has scored MORE that the best of BC (2007 team = 28.3)

35.9 Florida in 2009
29.8 Florida in 2010
30.6 Temple in 2011
24.7 Temple in 2012

Hell after watching BC go 3 straight years of UNDER 20, I'll take the low point of 24.7.

Basselope please don't confuse the board with facts.

You mean the fact that at the last two schools he coached at, the offense's output regressed with the Dazzler at the helm? What's most alarming is the huge drop in year two at Temple, you know, when GOlden's team just started becoming Daziani's team. A drop of 20% at Temple, and 18% at UF.

How about the nearly a TD a game increase when the "Dazzler" replaced Golden? and are we comparing a team with Tim Tebow at QB, Riley Cooper at WR and Aaron Hernandez at TE with one with John Brantley, Deonte Thompson and Omarius Hines?

Also, the topic is Addazio's offense, not Addazio's recruiting. Therefore, the speciously reasoned "2011 was Golden's team but the next year was Addazio's" is irrelevant as it deals with personnel not play calling.

No offense, bassy, but comparing any offense favorably to that of the original spaz is like saying that someone raped and killed less people than Ted bundy.

TRE - No offense taken.

So lets compare Addazio's offensive output average to every BC Coach.
Which BC coaches averaged more than 30.2 pts a game in a career or just take a 4 yr sample to compare.

I understand the need for a vehicle for your Ted Bundy rape and murder joke.

Can't believe I actually wasted valuable work time to do this.
Although I did find my all time favorite coach's name though

Pts/gm Coach
27.98 Tom Coughlin
26.50 Jeff Jagodzinski
26.39 Tom O'Brien
25.51 Joe Yukica
25.36 Frank Leahy
23.97 Jack Bicknell
23.44 Charles Brickley
20.87 Dennis "Denny" Myers
20.61 Dan Henning
20.45 Amerino "Moody" Sarno
20.29 Frank Morrisey
20.10 Frank Spaziani

Seeing Coughlin & Jags up at the very top, Henning toward the bottom, and Spaziani at the very bottom are enough to validate this sample. :shrug

Ha, Spaz's offense is worse than guys whose coaching tenure without exaggeration postdate the forward pass by only a decade.

Coughlin's is impressive, Spaz not so much, but a lot of this is dictated by the era in which the game was played. Scoring is up overall right now.

How do you get to Daz's teams in Temple averaging over 30 points a game? I get 27.6. If he can replicate that at BC, it would be good for 2nd on that list.

Then it's unnecessarily misleading. I mean, are you going to include Jags' offense with Brett Favre or when he was OC under Toby or Logan? his time at ECU alone would put him over the top. Similarly, did he include Toby's many years as OC for Welsh?

He said 30.2 is Addazio's average combining his two years as UF OC and two years as Temple HC. He also says Temple 2011 averaged 30.6 and Temple 2012 averaged 24.7.

Any Natick fans out there??? What is your thoughts on Troy Flutie's ability to run Dazoo's run-first spread? Is he too much a passer to be successful? I ask because a full year ago I was hearing that Troy was legit. He is a senior next year and I had heard that the former staff was going to offer.
