*Quarterback Price Wilson of Marietta (Ga.) Walton, who took home MVP honors for his position, competed Sunday even though he was sick with a sore throat.

"I felt good throwing the ball," Wilson said. "I had the 7 on 7 yesterday so I didn't know If I was going to play my best."

Wilson, who measured in at 6-feet-1, 218 pounds, has FBS offers from Louisiana Tech and Marshall. He said Boston College also is showing strong interest, and possibly could be next.

*Collin Lisa of Alpharetta (Ga.) Chattahoochee, named a top-five receiver at the camp, claims a handful of offers, including UAB and Toledo. Who could be next to offer? Lisa, who might have been the best route runner at the event, told 247Sports he's getting a good vibe from both Boston College and Bowling Green. He plans to visit both schools soon, along with Duke and Toledo.

SUWANEE, Ga. – With 14 offers to date, ESPN Watch List prospect Terry Googer (College Park, Ga./Woodward Academy) is one of the most coveted wideouts in Georgia for the 2014 class. At 6-foot-4, 210-pounds, Googer might be the most physically impressive receiver in the Peach State as well.

At the moment, Googer says all schools are even. His last visit was to Columbia, S.C., to check out the South Carolina Gamecocks.

“I was able to take a closer look at the educational aspect of the program at South Carolina,” Googer said. “For the most part it was a nice visit.”

Although Googer listed no team as a leader, he did mention one school has made him more of a recruiting priority than the others.

“Boston College is recruiting me harder than anyone right now,” Googer said. “They are selling me on playing time, academics setting me up where I need to be in my life after football. That is going to be a major factor because I am not going to be playing football forever.”

Googer is prepared to make his choice among the opportunities he has been given already, but he admits he would not mind earning a couple more scholarships before he announces his commitment.

“Tennessee, Florida, Florida State and Alabama are some offers I would like to earn,” Googer said. “All of them and the schools that have offered say they plan to come see me during the spring evaluation period. I hope to make my decision after spring football, before the beginning of summer.”

I don't know where Googer will end up, but the bolded part is impressive. It means in at least this instance a) the dazzler understands the right message for selling BC and b) has actually been able to articulate it to a top level recruit.

If Googer receives those offers he's waiting for, it'll be hard to see him coming to BC.

Agreed. Even if Googer somehow committed to BC at the end of spring per his timeline, he's someone I'd have very little confidence in not flipping until signing day.

Interesting that this staff is recruiting 6'7" pro-style QB Reid Travis (he was offered by Spaz).
Ulmer is visiting April 13th.

I think he is a really big time (like top 50) basketball recruit too.

Is the staff still actively recruiting Travis ? I haven't read much about him in the BC outlets since :spaz3 offered.

Snippets from a Free edition of the Recruiting trail on 247:

- Red Bank Catholic (NJ) lineman Quenton Nelson plans to visit Chestnut Hill next weekend and will take in a Boston College spring practice. The 247Composite four-star holds offers from the likes of Penn State, Ohio State, Oregon and more.

- Also coming in that weekend will be St. Peter's Prep (NJ) safety Shamir Bearfield and St. John's Prep (MA) running back Johnathan Thomas. Bearfield is teammates with 2013 signee Charlie Callinan and Thomas has been a frequent visitor to Chestnut Hill, swinging through campus at least three times over the last few months.

- Everett (MA) safety Lubern Figaro received his first offer on Wednesday and it came from the "hometown" Eagles, who he visited that same day. I spoke with him last night and he tells me that Boston College is "one of my top choices." More in a full story over the weekend.

- Also receiving an offer on Wednesday was Minster (OH) tight end Ethan Wolf. The 247Composite four-star already held offers from NC State, Nebraska, Kentucky and more. He says he was "excited" for the news and considers Boston College a "very solid" offer. More in a full story this weekend.

- Good Counsel (MD) running back Leo Ekwoge tells me that Eagles assistant Ben Albert is one of the coaches he talks to the most and Boston College was the first place that came to mind when asked about future visits.

- I spoke with four-star quarterback Will Ulmer some last night and the St. John's College (DC) star tells me that he is scheduled to visit Boston College on April 13th and that the Eagles are still recruiting him "very hard."

- I caught up with Miramar (FL) defensive back Andre Godfrey about the South Florida offer he received last night. "(Don Brown) said he likes the fact that I'm versatile," said Godfrey. "If I attend Boston College, I'll be playing early and I'll be able to play corner and safety."

- Four-star tackle Juwann Bushell-Beatty has seen his recruitment blow up in the past couple months, including an offer from Boston College toward the end of February. However, it may be his fellow Paramus Catholic (NJ) lineman, Billy Ray Mitchell, that could be next to receive an Eagles offer.

- Finally, for the first time in a long time, there is a feeling that Boston College will keep some big talent "home." In years past, the biggest issue (for me, and I'm sure many others) has been that the few BCS-caliber prospects in the area have chosen to leave Boston to play at the collegiate level. In 2014, though, I'd argue that the Eagles lead for not only Everett (MA) defensive back Lubern Figaro, as mentioned above, but also for St. John's Prep (MA) running back Johnathan Thomas, Dexter School (MA) tackle James Hendren and Millis (MA) guard Jon Baker. St. Sebastian (MA) linebacker Connor Strachan could also be included in that group, but he has been relatively quiet of late.

"If Googer receives those offers he's waiting for, it'll be hard to see him coming to BC."

Depends how serious he is about earning an education that will set him up for a career post football. A lot of those other schools can't compete with BC in that regard

Looks like we have a couple offers out to guys at Catholic schools in Oregon. While I don't think we should be recruiting nationally, nice to see us focus on Catholic schools throughout the country.

There's at least one catholic school up there that is a powerhouse. Had a top RB a few years ago, can't remember the name but saw him on one of those cable channels that are going away soon to save the ACC.

It makes sense. I don't think it'd be a good use of resources to recruit random public schools in Oregon/Nevada/pick a random state out west, that obvious changes when you factor in this sort of natural tie.

Cliff notes on that video of Googer.
Who's your favorite: They all are.
Who are you going to visit: List of SEC schools (no mention of BC here)
Who's recruiting you the hardest: BC, and at QB instead of WR like everyone else.
Who's a darkhorse: Louisville 'cuz they can beat an SEC team.

In summation - I'm going to play in the SEC but BC gets an "A" for effort.

With all that said, it's a far cry from the previous regime's attitude which had them giving up on these types of kids before right out of the gates. To me, it's just a matter of time before you actually steal one or two of them.
