We've only been in the ACC about 10 years and it finally dawns on the Football program that it might be a good idea to start recruiting players from North Carolina?

I am starting to warm up to the Dazzler.

We do have the South Carolina punter pipeline. Jags tried recruiting NC a little bit but don't think he ever landed anyone from there.

I live in Fayettenam, not the type of place I would expect BC to extensively recruit in (as opposed to say the research triangle or Charlotte). Military town, aside from that it's very "dirty south" (read: a shithole). Wouldn't surprise me if Landry's family is from up north somewhere.

Magazu was the kid whose dad was an old friend of 's and wasn't anything even resembling a D1 football player.

Why are the recruiting sites taking forever to put the commitment up?

Heights247 has him committed, but it doesn't show up on the front page of the 247 recruiting section. EA also doesn't have him listed as committed yet.

Having said that, EA has an article explaining the commitment, while 247 said they would (but haven't yet).

I was thinking maybe the reason was the kid was hard to reach, but if EA has that article up, it can't be that.

Any ideas?

Interesting - I wonder if that will make him more receptive to a local offer should one come. That would be pretty understandable. In any event, seems like a solid pickup that hopefully sticks.

Was anyone able to read the 247 story on John Wolford ? If BC could package him and Singletary from Bishop Kenny (with Wolford being 1 of 2 QBs) that would be an absolute home run.

It basically said that he enjoyed his visit to Boston & that his brother Bobby (RS Fr. LB) loves the city & new coaches so that's huge for him. Also says BC is going down to watch him throw this spring & he plans going to either Vandy, Louisville, or Tenneessee's spring game & that he has no leaders at the moment.

Oh, I'm not complaining. This is much better than securing 10 commits over Bryant and then having the best of the bunch defect to PSU in December. I am just curious whether Landry has had second thoughts.
