Did the master say this? That's glorious.

Sadly no, it was the consensus of the whalepants that the students were worse this year than usual.

The whalepants want the seat cushions extended beyond the DBS seats (and they think the DBS ruined the attendance and should be dumped - especially if the tax break might be going away).

I hadnt heard about this yet. Can you please expand on it?

Here's an article about Obama's plan:

Eaglekeeper {l Wrote}:There was a lot of talk about bobbleheads and doing away with TV timeouts

A minion went and grabbed a bobble head for the kid so by the last round of questions, the little boy had a bobble head in hand. The father was all smiles when he left.

Who was the moron policy wonk that thought cutting that tax break was a good idea? Jhiggy?

What is being received? You pay the DBS and THEN you pay for the seat.

The right to purchase the seat, I suppose. It's pretty lame and if like to know how they assess the value of that right to purchase.

Somehow this has been glanced over. Can you elaborate.

Also, this scenario was my downfall at the Pinstripe. I tailgated like I was going into Alumni and then got into Yankee stadium where the beer was flowing like honey.

Do people write off their Flynn Fund donations that are made as a barter for access to certain tailgating locations? If so, how is it justifiable to distinguish that from DBS?

When I buy a parking pass to Lower Brighton I write it off. It's considered a donation to the FF and they send you a gift receipt for it.

Will this recent Obama brilliance close that donation write off or just the DBS?

Agreed. Having games on ABC is nice. Having said games take 4 hours and 15 minutes isn't.

The 25 minute halftime is terrible. Shave 10 minutes off game time right here.

Ncaa rules states that halftime should be no longer than 20 minutes for games.

The question was asked regarding alcohol sales inside the stadium. Bates said that some schools have started to allow alcohol sales and that studies show that there is less binge drinking and fewer arrest at stadiums that sell alcohol. He went on to say that Boston is the only city that has very strick and peculiar liquor and licensing laws. He had never heard of needing an entertainment license to host a sporting event.

you wonder why the movie theater in cleveland circle has been vacant for nearly 10 years despite a plan being on the books for a majority of those 10 years

Don't they put 17:00 on the clock for halftime?

Since everything is a legislative fight, BC should be taking nuclear positions like holding a Monsters of Rock Reunion (circa 1988) on Shea. Serving alcohol in Shea, Conte, the Mods, Addies, Bapst Library, etc. Let everyone freak out. Then, when you acquiesce to a 5-hour pregame tailgate license, the local politicians can claim victory over the preservation of the neighborhood. BC has the misconception that reasonable proposals will be met with a rational response. However, that is the worst way to negotiate with radicals. When Monan ran into extreme NIMBYism, he just brought them to court... and won some very significant decisions. Leahy... the wuss he is... has never pushed back and has never leveraged those hard fought legal decisions.

I've been saying this for years. Go nuclear and say we're serving alcohol and open up the gates 5 hours early. The Mayor isn't going to revoke BCs license to hold a football game, he'll get killed in the PR battle.

It's a difficult political environment because the state (nut) house is filled with Democrats with law degrees from Southern New England law school. Leahy did sue the freaks in Newton and won, but then the building plans changed due to the recession. This is why the new indoor field should bd part of the new student rec center. As a free standing building it could go the way of the baseball stadium. It's a lot tougher to turn down a student rec center.

does a rec center get us 5* recruits or only 4 * recruits. are filled corners the only way we get 5* recruits or could we do so through a combination of rec center, indoor practice facilities, upgraded showers, etc?
