PhillyandBCEagles {l Wrote}:And they didn't actually BEAT Stanford, the refs just blew multiple TD calls.

Potential for some good late-game PR here if ND can't get on the board--last time the French were shut out was in 2008 at Alumni (the "BJ Raji bulldozes a ND OL into his own RB" game)

The ND lineman Raji bulldozed was 310 lb future NFL lineman Eric Olsen. One of my favorite plays as he used Olsen to tackle the ND back 8 yards deep in the ND backfield.

The video disappeared from the interwebs shortly after that game. Does anyone have a link that survived?,

Wait, so without Tuitt and Nix gobbling up blockers and opening up lanes Te'o can't get anywhere near a ball carrier? Who would have ever guessed that...

The big negative here is that because of the way Te'o has shit the bed tonight (or been proven a fraud, however you look at it), he's not going to get an NFL GM fired for drafting him in the top 5.

At what point does Saban pull the starters? Spring Game is in 96 days.

I think a 97 yard drive might be a nice exclamation point

HJS {l Wrote}:ND is damn lucky this game isn't 42-0 at the half.seriously, that is what the score SHOULD be right now.

As for ND... they were undefeated and deserve to be in the game as such. Their schedule also seemed incredible at the start of the season. However, through no fault of their own, the schedule turned out to be a joke. Michigan, MSU, USC, BC all had historically terrible seasons. When it was all said and done, only Stanford was a great win (Okla was its only only other good win).

I'm no fan of Notre Dame, but you are overstating the case against their schedule. It was no joke, it was an average B1G schedule plus excellent Standford and Oklahoma squads thrown in.

And the B1G was a fucking abomination this year... as evidenced by tOSU's undefeated season and the conference's 2-6 bowl record. Just wait until MD and RU join!!!

Hell I might even put 10 yard Clancy above him

At least after the RB gashes the D he can make a tackle 10 yards down field, Teo isn't even doing that

Edit: Another TD

Tonight was ridiculous. This game proved how fundamentally flawed college football is so long as there isn't a playoff.

Its not that Notre Dame was outplayed in every single aspect of the game. It is instead, that they were completely out-athleted. They had absolutely no business being on the same field as Alabama, certainly no RIGHT to even play for the national championship.

The Irish were completely out-recruited. Their best players (Notre Dame's defensive linemen) all got physically hurt by Alabama. They were all on the sidelines in pain after being completely brutalized against boys so much stronger and more athletic than they were. I felt sorry for them.

The Irish fans were embarassed. They shouldn't feel any shame here, but their alma mater has absolutely no chance in stopping a team filled with 5-star recruits. There was zero that Brian Kelly or Diaco could do, zero.

There are 4 SEC teams that could have disembolwed Notre Dame tonight the way Alabama did. The only non-SEC team in college football that had a chance of beating that Alabama team was Oregon, but they went and fucked themselves right in the ass against Stanford. Hopefully (when they go to a 4-team playoff) unbalanced horseshit in national championship games like we all witnessed tonight, will not repeat itself. Until that time, we should just annoint the SEC Champion AS the national champion and spare the rest of the college football world all the pain and trouble of watching some other team like Notre Dame get their nuts kicked in....

Here is the whole blurb from the AP article:

But while Notre Dame's defense wasn't accustomed to being pushed around in such a manner, Fluker said the Tide saw it coming. The team was encouraged studying when the Irish's 21-6 victory two months ago against Boston College, Fluker said.

"We saw Boston College push them around," he said. "We knew that if they could do it, we could do it. They were kind of predictable on defense. We knew what they would do, so it was just a matter of executing."

First, Diaco looks like fool for turning us down. That said, if we did hire him, it would have been awesome having ND fans blaming us for costing them yet another National Championship.

Second, Brian Toal has to be on that Liston LBs who are better than Te'o.

Third, the worst coach in the history of Bodton College leading the worst BC football team in the modern era were close to beating one of the best teams has ever produced. That says something. I'm glad Bama is rubbing salt into their wounds by giving us props.

Thanks to the AP, this quote will persist in the annals of ND football for all eternity. I just forgave Gene and Spaz a little.

Our guys played hard and I was proud of the effort, but I did not see BC's O pushing around ND's D that night.
