Be thankful. I was afraid we would end up with Devine since he is Ryan Day's bff. This is nothing but good news for BC. On the other hand Chip Kelly has the most underwhelming staff in the NFL. It will be fun to see the Eagle's fans turn on the franchise when this new coaching staff is an epic fail.

Ehh, other than Pat Shurmer as OC which is somewhat baffling but he wasn't a terrible OC, just HC, nothing is too terrible yet. My guess is the 9ers DB coach will be the DC, which seems OK I guess. The ST coordinator is the former Miami assistant ST coordinator, their ST were good, who knows if he had anything to do with it. The bad BC related hires are mitigated only by their positions being unimportant. Even McGovern, who might be OK appears to be sharing the LB coach job with Rick Minter. I think "quality control coaches" in the NFL is akin to graduate assistants in college.

Given the time-lag in announcing, we better damn well be hiring a kickass recruiter from another school to be the recruiting coordinator. This better not be some sort of permanent promotion for the grad assistatn currently handling it. This delay better be due to the new coach unable to leave before LOI Day and Dazoo respecting those wishes to make sure he hires the right guy. For instance, if the guy was someone like Stan Drayton.
