I think this is the right time to bump the Addazio hiring press conference thread.

This will be good companion reading while watching Cuse blow us out, Blyhope style.

Everyone who had a say in this hire is a loser and everyone who posted in that 'great hire' ballwash catastrophe has sculpted their own cheaters' walk statue. Worse than Burger King.

thats because the majority of people (~4 or 5 of us) on this board are far more accomplished in our respective fields and intelligent than the person who hires football coaches at boston college.

This fucking thread is now SEVEN count 'em SEVEN years old. You realize that BC is either going to hire someone who is unproven or someone who has had a misstep at some point in his career. So, no matter who the next coach is, there will be a question as to his ability to be successful. That said, we know what we have with Addazio. That is 7-win tops pockmarked with sub-500 years when he fucks up the coordinator pick (Fitch, Sheridan). I’m willing to sacrifice that to roll the dice with someone different.

Last week I said he Daz wouldn’t win 6 this year. Yesterday he blew his best opportunity. We all have seen how he does under pressure. Will Schiano be gone by then? When does Rutgers cave in and give him everything he wants? Closer to the end of the season closer the competition gets for his services.

Watching the press conference yesterday you can see Daz is feeling the pressure. Even the look on Jarmonds face coming into the press conference room looked telling.

I think Schiano is hired by Rutgers between now and Daz’s firing. I think he’d prefer the BC job, but (after the Tennessee situation) won’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good. I think Schiano has proven to be a good program builder but has yet to show he can be more than that. If we went the retread route, I think he should be considered.

Gun to my head... I’d say my retread ranking is: Beilema, Golden, Moorhead, Schiano, Stoops and Jones.

I would be fine with Bielema and maybe Moorhead. Lukewarm on Jones. I don't think Stoops is realistic and no thank you to Golden and Schiano.

still think the cockroach finds a way to get to six wins. not sure if he would even get fired with 5.
and what about if we APR our way into a bowl game? I think it's way too early to discuss him being gone even if everyone wants it.
