I understand that he isn't making baseball decisions, but it is tough to criticize Red Sox management since the Henry/Werner group took over. I'm sure Cuse would suffer through similar financial and performance success and call it a day.

SU has a shit ton of land, athletics alumni who have given massive gifts to the athletics program (Melo & McNabb, among others), and the support of the community (because SU keeps most of them employed). It is not a wonder they can get stuff built.

I don't believe that is a "direct quote". I think that is parsing together things that are close to things he's said into one statement and adding quotes around it.
He doesn't appreciate the potential value of sports though, that's true.
