My golf league passes around a trophy towel to whomever shoots the best score in an outing. Recently, we decided to add a "towel of shame" to the mix, which goes to whomever shoots the worst. We were bandying around ideas for what towel we would be most ashamed of having displayed publicly and, while this isn't a towel, the idea of having it hanging off of your golf bag was in the lead for awhile.

In the end, we went with a Duke Basketball towel. Not only because Duke is despised, but also for the look on the Duke alum's face at the course after you tell him that you didn't go there, you hate the school, and having the towel is punishment for sucking out loud the last time out.
