The fact that Gene DeFilippo still has a job makes me wonder if anyone in a position of power up there really gives a damn about my alma mater. DeFilippo always seems to act with a "cover your ass" mentality, but he does it in a very poor manner, often exposing himself as a buffoon. His actions and the fallout from such actions go beyond their impact on the athletic department. They affect the reputation, integrity, and brand of Boston College as a whole. It's beyond time for the Board of Trustees to step in and flush the taint that Gene DeFilippo has placed upon this institution.

New posters are hard to come by. No need to attack anyone new just because you fear Vinny Higgins.

Don... if you spend 5-minutes here you will quickly learn that the ONLY thing to be done is the termination of our self-inducted Hall of Fame Athletic Director, Eugene DeFilippo. The FB, men and women's BB and hockey programs were all moving along swimmingly until GDF interjected himself. He has shown an incredible ability to fail at each hiring decision he has ever made. He also has drastically cut (when compared to our conference mates) the amounts paid to coaches of the aforementioned sports. All while he himself makes twice the average of ACC conference ADs. To top it all off, he is known to be an absolute prick and is generally hated in the athletic community. Ticket sales are at an historic post-expansion low and Flynn Fund donations are at levels never seen since before the clumsy implementation of DBS.

Simply... GDF is the school's biggest problem. While this forum has a lot of dissenting opinions, the thoughts on Gene are the one unifying factor.

Don you do not feel that coach flip is the problem? I would think someone like vinny would not go near statements like the ones homojs made. Just sayin'.

He very well may be... I don't really know how it works, as a fan and recent student I can tell that our teams (aside from Hockey) our going in the wrong direction. You all know better I would assume.

Remember those who never wanted spaz because they would rather avoid BC football being ruined from the start had a personal agenda against that nice man. Those who want the coach who has gone 3-13 over his last 16 bcs games NOW are the true fans.
