2012 BC Football

Postby DomingoOrtiz on Thu Feb 02, 2012 7:41 am

Globe article says that Duggan will move to MLB. This is surprising as I thought DeVitto would move to MLB. Duggan looked good last season for a true FR but very light for a MLB.

Surprised too. Thought KPL was the heir apparant there.

KPL is pretty light there too, though he is very fast.

I was assuming that Lifka would be the guy, but he is looking more and more like a future FB. Joy or Daniels (if he makes it to campus) also make sense: I could see Joy being another McLaughlin.

Lifka is probably the only natural MLB size wise. FBs almost never get their hands on the ball anymore except for swing passes, they can take one of the backup guards and play them at FB, they just need a headbanger, someone who thrives on pain. Don't think Lifka got much playing time, it's possible none of the top half dozen LBs has the size for MLB. It's a relatively minor pwobwem for the Spaz braintrust.

They were talking about making Bordner a LB, he's got pretty good size and has shown what he can do as QB, now it's time to find him another position

The best thing about moving Bordner Tebow from QB is we won't have to suffer through the 2011/2012 version of Tolegraphed. That series in Miami when he came in and fumbled was a firable offense in and of itself

They're going to need to use more walkons or convert somebody to RB.

Josh Keyes sticks out as a real possibility.

He ran for 1,721 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior; rushed for 2,089 yards and 36 touchdowns on 168 carries as a junior.

He also looked pretty solid in the defensive blitz packages they put him in as a true freshman. So that would be consistent with moving guys around who showed potential at their former position.

I got the info from TOS. The Hack only reports about the QB battle, real or otherwise. I know the spring game has been set, but don't know the date.

Amazing how lazy Blauds is. How does he not even look into the players who are out for the spring? I know we crack on teenage boy chaser Farrell but that football guy on EA they have isnt half bad.

TOS interviewed Jones a few weeks ago and he sounded very positive.

What's up Claver?

Bobby tore his shoulder labrum in the Va Tech Game and played the rest of the year with a bad wing.
He had surgery when he came home for X-mas. Recovering is going fine and he will be ready for camp, but won't be in any spring practices or game.

I won't be up for spring game, but will prolly be up for business in May. I'll hit you up if you want to go crush a few. Nick is buying...
BTW, hearing some very nice things about Martin and the Offense playbook so I am a little more bullish than most on what we can do this fall.

Not for nothing but didn't we hear the same "positive" news about Rogers and the offensive playbook last year? How did that turn out? Sorry but I'll believe it when I see it.

In fairness, we didn't get much of a chance to see what Rogers could do (given Spaz's penchant to tattoo his MPC Computers Bowl ring on the jaw of his OCs).
