Hurst quote:
"Hurst indicated that he's not sure when a decision might come. He did tell CavsCorner that the earlier he decides, the better UVa's chances would be. The later he waits, the more likely it is that BC will be the choice."

While I don't understand the logic, it does indicate that BC and UVA are the 2 top choices, right?

Sounds like he's a UVA lean right now. I guess he figures that the longer he waits, the better BC's chances of convincing him?

I read it as he wants to go to BC if they're decent but he's not entirely sure he'll wait that long to find out (I wonder if someone might be able to squeeze him if spots are filing up).

He had another article earlier this week where he said if he wants a factory (tOSU, MSU) he will commit early but if he wants an ACC program it will be later.

"If I decide I want to go to a bigger school like Ohio State or Michigan State then I'll probably decide a little earlier. If I want to stay in the ACC I'll probably wait a little longer and take my officials."

So I guess that means if he decides BC it will be very, very late.

I read Hurst attempted to commit to tOSU during the spring game/on his visit, but was told by tOSU coaching staff to hold off (presumably because Bosa also committed that weekend and tOSU is taking limited guys on the DL).

Ohio St has a ton of DL already committed.

Denzel Franklin checks in at 6'1 and 185-pounds from Atlanta (GA) Pace Academy and will be one of the most heavily recruited players in Georgia for 2014.

"Alabama and William and Mary came today just to see me and Virginia is coming tomorrow. Boston College was my favorite team growing up and I would like to hear from Miami, USC, Ohio State and UCLA."

So odds Spaz is to dumb to offer?

Anyone with decent offers is going to slow play us. Spaz is on the hotseat so you'd be foolish to commit to BC until the season plays out.

BC just offered a guy named Dan Montereso. Most of his recruiting stuff is for basketball. But no, a football scholarship. His only other football offer is Ohio. Pretty much sums up recruiting these days....

This equals we have no shot.

This recruiting thread, full of 1-star/no-star prospects from BB&N with no offers is the saddest thing since last years recruiting thread full of 1-star/no-star prospects from BB&N with no offers.

We may as well just have someone assigned to sign on once a day and post "BC offered RANDOM NAME, he's not listed by any of the recruiting services, so don't bother to look for him." And then occasionally someone could say "BC signed RANDOM NAME. Maybe this flier will work out!"

I can't do it, I am too busy with my other posting duties. It is my responsibility to report that BC didn't sign a guy that they were recruiting.

In the top 4 for WR Trey Kilgore along with Kentucky, Cinci, and Toledo. While I still imagine we won't land him (what with him having options and all), he does go to St. X, so we might have a small chance in that he picks BC for the school and not the current football program.

For every year that is added to this recruiting sink hole, it takes one more year for a competent coach to dig us out.

It probably doesn't matter, but BC High has named an Everett guy as their head coach:

BC is in the 4 favorites for Blake Mcclain:
Three-star DB from Winter Park (Fla.) just told me his four favorites are BC, West Virginia, Illinois and USF. Hopes to visit BC this summer.

Sean Desai has impressed me thus far with his Florida recruiting...hopefully he can close some of these deals. Could prove to be a good find for the next staff.

Totally agree. Desai and Washington would be great assistant holdovers for the next staff, I really think you will see Washington prove to be a good recruiter, especially in evening out the goldilocks-dreadlocks ratio.

It's ironic but this is probably the best staff Spaz has assembled. Unfortunately, it probably doesn't matter.

If only Sirmans was still around, they could actually have an almost legit recruiting staff.
