Would be awesome if somehow WVU and the Big East settled, nobody else can fill the spot, and the Big East loses its 2012 Auto-Bid...

4) Rutgers
5) UConn
6) Houston
7) SMU
8) SDSU (FB only)
9) Navy (FB only)
10) UCF
11) Cincinnati
12) Memphis
13) Temple (FB only?)
Gross.

Where are all those media tools who said BC should have stayed and it was a mistake to leave the Big East?

Adding SDSU,Memphis, and know Temple to the BE means the BE doesn't really lose a step in hoops.
Stunned at some of the pollyannas on this board. People who advocate retreating/settling for the Temple/East Carolina level conveniently forget that this state invested almost $150 MILLION in football facilities to accommodate REAL, BIG TIME I-A FOOTBALL, not a Double or Triple A version and the taxpayers who helped build those facilities are being charged REAL, BIG TIME I-A prices. Want to talk all-in? Hold Gene DiFilippo personally, legally responsible for devaluing those investments and locking UConn out of the cartel.

They are too busy writing articles lauding themselves for being right in their predictions that BC could not compete in the ACC.

Do we retreat to the Big East with our tails between our legs soon?

It really is hilarious. Anything that doesn't go their way is because the organization has an agenda against them (ESPN, Yahoo, CBS Sports have been named) and they should launch a lawsuit.
It's hilarious.

I haven't. What are you referring to?
I did a quick search using this fancy new thing called Google... and this is the only semi-relevant article I could find.
http://www.lvrj.com/sports/tv-deal-coul ... ml?ref=003
I guess, if the BCS falls away in favor of some sort of 4-team playoff, the attractiveness of the NNBE would be significantly lessened for the football-only schools.

I saw it on the Rutgers rivals board. A poster there says it was being discussed on a San Diego sports radio station and on twitter. I couldn't find anything on google, thus asking the question, dick.
Yes, the idea is that it would be unlikely so long as there is an AQ bid, but much more likely if the NNBE loses its AQ bid.
Which begs the question, whether the likelihood of a lost AQ bid is a real possibility, either under the current BCS system or some kind of playoff.
