I love Gruden season. It genuinely makes me wonder if anyone listens to the guy speak when hes on TV. He's an idiot. And he's not a bad coach, but he's been elevated to legendary the longer he doesn't coach.
Never forget, Bill Callahan didn't bother to change the playbook or the names of the plays when he took over in Oakland. Made Gruden's job that much easier.
Gruden's name gets thrown around every December and January for almost every job opening. I didn't think he qualified under Cowherd's description. I don't think it will happen, but I also wouldn't be stunned if it did.
I recently saw a photo of Gruden from his playing days in an old Dayton media guide on Twitter. The caption said he hoped to be head coach at Michigan one day.
