not really. i still am expecting / hoping for 6-6. i want as many wins as possible early because the last 6 are gonna be a hell of a lot harder than the first 6

also - given what we know now, i don't think 8-4 is out of the realm of possibilities

4-2 now

wins:
wake
cuse

losses:
fsu (sorry I'm not calling that a toss up yet)

toss ups:
clemson
@VT
louisville

my prediction was 6-6 at the start of the season. seems to be the floor now.

7-5 looks very possible, 8-4 if we excel. anything north of that would be COY material out of adaziani

I thought Doeren would be a good fit but holy shit am I glad we didn't go that way. Best of all NC State overpaid for him. How could he keep the team in a 4-2-5 when we kept running all over them?

Kinda like this one about BC:

"They are a pretty good team with a good coach. Of course, when you point that out it does bring the question of how did they turn around a terrible program so quickly."

I agree. BC has a good coaching staff. Day's play calling can be a bit too conservative at times, but overall, I love the offensive scheme that Addazio and Day have brought to BC. We are finally playing a 21st century college football offense.

Agreed. The self deprecating ones are the funniest. Just wanted to point out that some outside the program actually think BC's coaches are good.

Twood: are you out of your mind with this BC wins the division nonsense. As of right now, here is what I would guess the point spreads are for BC's remaining games;

Clemson:10.5 with QB. 7.5 without
FSU: 24 withnWinston : 16.5 without winston
VT: 8.0
Louisville: 6.5
Wake: BC is a 7.5 point favorite
Syracuse: BC is an 8.5 point favorite.

OVerall a vary good BC effort and an away game to boot

3 QBs facing BC coming gamesare on the rpes, Clempson QB has broken bone in throwing hand, Terrell Hunt at SU has fractured leg and his backup has concussion. And infamous Jameis has paid autographs investigation simmering a la Todd Gurley, Winston's sex with that woman is getting some sort f title 9 review, he'll have to turn pro just to pay his legal bills

couple/more than a couple of thoughts at the gate before we board:

RCC people are nice but dumb
it was 85 and hot as balls at kickoff then 60 and biblically pouring an hour later, weird
we tailgated across the street from the state fair which was...interesting
post lightning delay the place obviously cleared out and there were a group of 4/5 :whalepants absolutely destroying ryan day for the entire 4th Q, i assume they were nexus members

Some of you best come back down to earth. Wake and the 'Cuse look very winnable and maybe even VT, but let's not forget that Clemson and Louisville have the two best defenses in ACC, and FSU without Winston is still a real stretch. Our defense is very, VERY suspect, especially in the secondary. Brissett was bothered with pressure in his face especially after the delay, and that masked our abysmal secondary.

Let's take it a game at a time, and be thankful that yesterday's win likely made us bowl eligible.

Even without Watson Clemson is crazy talented and we will be a TD+ underdog. Clemson has an unbelievable DLine

What the line will be and what it should be are two different things. Like BC v NCSU.

Clemson could be a TD better on the spread. BC's better on the field without the QB.

I also didn't say they would beat all of those teams. Without WInston and Watson, though, none of them runs the table either.

Just curious, after the place cleared out, what percentage of BC fans hung around for the second half?

i'd say about 50%, far more than the % of nc state fans, probably because of the limited options of where to go.

when they first stopped the game, everyone congregated under the stands. then cops realized not everyone was going to fit so they kicked us OUT of the stadium. people congregated at the pnc arena (which is across the street) or went back to the car. at about 5 before 6 they used a bullhorn to announce that the game will start at 6:15 and to head over to the stadium. once everyone is on line to get back in there is another report of lightning in the area and the 30 min clock would be restarted. that was when a lot of ncst fans bailed and either stayed in their rvs / tailgates and watched the game.

Thanks for the link. I read at least a dozen pages of post-game comments on Pack Pride and, as it turned out, not just out of Schadenfreude.

Whatever else one might think of RCC, you've got to give their fans a lot of credit for passion and especially for the cascade of comments they post. Most of which are entirely literate and well argued. Comparatively light on the slap fights, all things considered and under the circumstances (the loss to BC). Wish we had more of their outpouring of fan support.

Gurley gets suspended by Georgia pending investigation of 500 autographs, Infamous Jameis has almost 1000 signed autographs with same company and Jimbo conducts an investigation by axing Infamous if he got paid for the 1000 certified signatures, he says no and case is closed.

Why would anyone expect a signature signing would be investigated more closely than a sex assault.

If these guys have been making beaucoup money selling autographs and not reporting it in their taxes - a la Pete Rose - then it gets inneresting
