Yeah, no thanks.

ATLeagle {l Wrote}:I think Daz will reach out to some of the Urban Meyer/Dan Mullen guys and find that they won't take a paycut just to call plays. I think we promote Fitch and backfill with a BC guy. My guess is Fitch OC/QB with Swepson as the new WR coach.

If we promote Fitch and backfill with Swepson....fuck that. If that's the plan at least use it as an opportunity to get Paul Pete on staff.

I'm having a hard time reconciling posts criticizing suggested candidates when literally anyone is better than Chris Crane.

My point was that if we promote Fitch we need to do a lot better than Swepson as the replacement WR coach

Correct me if im wrong, but Day played a large part in recruiting New Jersey since he returned with Addazio. If Fitch is promoted, that is something that has to be considered when backfilling. BC has done a good job recruiting NJ the last 2 years and it is only becoming tougher with the PSU stuff changing this year. It would be great to get someone with BC playing experience/is young (ie Paul Peterson, Brian St. Pierre, Paul Zukauskus) but staying active in New Jersey has to be at the forefront of any decision.

Please tell me no one is serious about this talk of Swepson being brought back.

If they bring Swepson back, I will be livid. He brings absolutely nothing to the table. He ran Elon's football program into the ground. I don't see him being anything special recruiting wise either.

What is going on on this board? Silence? We are in the midst of an OC search, right? That's kind of a big deal, right? Where the fuck is everyone? Where are the mindless fantasies and inevitable slapfights they spawn? Where's the baseless rumors?

Where's the fucking CONTENT?!?!

What a boring coaching search...

Any chance the total radio silence on the coach search is due to the fact that we're targeting an assistant who won't be available until after the Super Bowl?

So fucking boring!

I heard from impeccable sources that Coach Chimp through a turd at Leahy and has no interest in the job. After the mirace he pulled off as the interim QB coach at tOSU this past year he is looking at far bigger jobs then BC. Word on the street is that Harbaugh is trying to close him.

I was kidding when I initially mentioned Logan but apparently he wanted to get back into coaching:

Why not?:

1) add Scott Sallach - Miss State - to the staff (if Fitch is made OC). Northeast ties.

OR

2) bring in Stan Drayton - Ohio State - to be OC, and add QB coach to Fitch's titles. That could be a good step for Drayton to get an FBS Head Coaching job that he may otherwise never get.

Why not just give Fitch the job and promote Leo Ferrine to a full time staffer?

DO you think the BC neighbors would allow for it?

While I think Fitch/Ferrine is the way they will ultimately go, I will say that I'm a bit surprised they haven't announced it yet (though, I guess they could do it at the LOI Presser... which I believe is something Spazoo did one year). That said, if LOI Day comes and goes without an announcement, I think that means that they are going outside to grab someone (and gave the other program the courtesy of waiting for the LOIs to be signed before poaching).

Or maybe Daz will be the HC/OC? saves money and we can get our dive plays called quicker without the inefficiency of daz telling day to tell the QB.

Steve Addazio {l Wrote}:I've decided to absorb the responsibilities of the Offensive Coordinator position into my own. I realized if you want to make sure that we only run the ball, you have to call the plays yourself. So, I'm going to be knocking down the wall between my office and Ryan Day's old office to create a single, enormous office. However, as a cost-cutting measure, I will only be taking 85% of the additional salary I'm entitled to. It's called self-sacrifice, people. Learn from this.

Oh man, do you think he'll have a private bathroom in that office?

Did I ever tell you about my plans for a private bathroom? For reference:
