I'm also sick of the "well everyone else is just terrible" argument. Newsflash, we were 2-5 terrible at one point and after vtech/ncsu I didn't think we were going to win another game all season.
End of the story: we were better than more than half the teams on our schedule, and we are going to a bowl game in a season where we thought that 10 losses was a real possibility. We are going bowling, Texas is not. Keep some perspective.
This is so sad. We're supposed to be happy with this shit sandwich of a season because the coaching staff
only lost 5 in a row, to mostly awful teams? They had an absolute jewel of a schedule and they should have had 10
WINS in the regular season. Now that it's over we're supposed to be happy that they didn't end it with 10
losses?
Reading your post is like watching one of those nature specials that shows a slow-motion film of a dead animal decomposing. I can just see how, over time, you've learned to lower your expectations until there is nothing but bones left. Great job, Gene. Better than half the teams in the conference despite an embarrassingly easy schedule! First round of ice cream is on me!
Virginia Tech is the only really good team that BC played all season. And BC could have made a game of it if Luigi had bothered to do his damn job. Instead it was an absolutely pitiful loss at home. You take this same roster and give them a coach with balls and you beat NC State and Notre Dame, definitely. Florida State and Maryland were both winnable games as well. Which win are you impressed with, and expected to lose at the beginning of the season? Clemson? Kent State? Weber State? Wake Forest? Duke? The fucking Cuse???
Yes, Texas missed a bowl this year. What did they do last year?
EDIT: I apologize if you were just quoting some dildo on EA. Use quotes or italics if so.
