Its been a real good season. I think they will probably get it done vs FSU and then they will struggle against Syracuse. 8-4. That is where I had them I think at the beginning of the season. Addazio got the maximum out of these recruits. The players and the coaches have nothing to be ashamed about this year.

IB, your position is that Brown could only have done worse. That’s highly unlikely. Brown knows how to throw to our TE and WR and Perry showed only VERY limited aptitude. Brown almost certainly wouldn’t have botched as many snaps. But whatever. It’s a loss. I’m truly worried about 7-6.

Defense had such a great night. Very proud of them, particularly since they were out there all damn night. Two offensive TDs allowed against this unit was quite a performance. In addition to the usual stout play from the line, the LBs had their best game of the season by far.

Brown is an ACC-level athlete. He’s developing as a passer (but is still only a soph). He’s very far along in his decision-making (he makes the right reads and decisions with the ball). When he was also a runner, he was a player who could actually quite dangerous. Where he is noticeably lacking is his accuracy. But, you can win with a QB like that.

But he’s done. That looked like a collarbone break. I don’t think he’s bouncing back from that anytime soon. You have to wonder... with two major injuries... whether he’ll ever develop as an adequate passer. When he should be working on his accuracy, he’ll be spending another offseason in rehab.

Got to say... feeling real good about my 7-6 prediction.

I thought the defense played well enough to win. This is the least points Clemson has scored all year.
Offense was MIA but obviously that was due to not having a QB on the field for the majority of the game.

P.s. I’d like to Perry move to WR; He showed some athleticism running the ball. I think his future at BC is at that position.

If we can run between the tackles we will gash FSU. Notre Dame just ran for eleventy billion yards against them even with FSU putting 8 and 9 guys in the box because Brandon Wimbush.

You play Jeff Smith and run a veer package the whole game with dinks and dunks to the TE. The veer is literally easy enough to install in a day or two (I have seen in done) and you can put two 240 lb backs with Smith in the backfield.

But we won’t. Perry will be utterly ineffective and we will be in a 50/50 dogfight with a team we would otherwise beat by 2 or 3 TDs. Fuck Daz and Fuck Loeffler.

I remember commenting at the Spring Game if Perry ever had to play we were screwed. With that said, the OLine never gave him a chance with that horrendous blocking. The playcalling was awful, but really nothing is going to work when you block like that.

Not sure BC wins another game this season with Perry back there.

Jeff Smith still should be the QB.

Unless they found a way to block that NFL defensive line I watched tonight, I don’t think it mattered who played QB. Baker should be replaced next week.

Brown is obviously much better than Perry who is horrendous, but BC wasn’t scoring 27 tonight.

Clemson didn't have their A-game, but I have to think that even Alabama's worst game looks a lot better than that mess. Clemson was playing a team that did not have a competent offense and could only win 27-7. With Brown out, BC is now back to its 2015 and 2016 versions. I've said it before and I'll say it again, losing Ryan Day was the biggest blow to the Addazio regime. For the most part, the offense has looked like shit for 4 seasons.

I flipped the replay of the game on when I got home.

Lost in whatever stupid debate you’re all engaging in, this night looked and felt like big time college football for the first time in a really long time at BC. Gameday was here, campus was jumping, we had the Saturday Night ABC game and it looked awesome on TV.

It was obvious that he staff was afraid to use Perry as they planned to use Brown from the get go. Not withstanding the botched snap shit show they were trying everything hey could do to open up the field without calling a conventional pass

We lost like 3 series that way, and then we were just bad.

Probably don’t light the world on fire with Brown at qb but we at least don’t give away a bunch of series trying tricky shit like that and maybe we keep it closer.

I don't understand playing that way unless Perry doesn't know the plays. From the Brown injury on the game was over. 6 years, still no QB. The rest of the team was good enough to win that game, that's why it's so frustrating to watch spread option and punt for 3 quarters.

If your backup QB isn't good enough to throw after 6 years, it is really bad.

Allen made himself a few million dollars last night. Never seemed to tire.
