Quite the opposite. I would've wanted Murphy to do a sneak right up the middle. Instead they tried to bounce it outside on a trap. Problem was that the pulling guard got tripped up on the VT DT shooting into the backfield by timing the snap.

Thats fine, I was more just looking for something quick. a WB sneak or a jet sweep, not dropping back 4 yards then go.

Yes

It is a legal block. But, I am shocked that they haven't been outlawed. They call unnecessary roughness on pretty much any TACKLE on a pass over the middle. But, those BLOCKS cause more injuries than probably any legal play. Strange. Tackles on "defenseless" receivers significantly impact the way the game is played. But, those blindside blocks only occur once every other game... and often has no impact on the play.
