I think this is a huge loss in do many ways. Development, recruiting, someone to tell Sarge when he is going to make a game losing mistake.

guess he isn't #dude enough.

as i said last time this came up - t.s. slaughter is a real asshole and i'm sure pp just got tired of dealing with his shit.

the question i have is whether this is setting up for the detroit lions switch to bc after the heinz hammer gets fired... kinda like when thinskin brought his temple coaching staff with him. it could be al golden's return to college football

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
This really fucking sucks... we’re easily losing our best coach.
It’s good to have your coaches wanted by other teams but Ithink PP held a unique role on this team. Besides being a excellent position coach and good recruiter, he handled a lot of the game day duties I.e. he kept Daz from pulling end-of-game Wake type maneuvers on a weekly basis.

Who are we going to get to replace him?

Not good if true. Maybe he got tired of being the real asst. head coach and not getting paid for it.

Reasonable assumption. Donnie Brown couldn’t wait to get away from him.

Either Orange has sources or he's trying to get an early lead on worst poster 2018... which should be me every single year, but I constantly get overlooked

Not official yet from what I've seen

I have no idea if he liked working for Addazio or not, but I'm sure guys at his age don't enjoy recruiting. Best of luck to him.

Nothing anywhere on any sites...in fact, saw Patricia or Lions anyway,(since Patricia hasn't been introduced as HC yet) have hired 4 staffers, and Pasqualoni's name not among them. but still several positions unannounced.

Obviously... it wasn't as obvious as intended.

Since it was NO who started this thread, it was meant to be an obvious play on his most obvious thread: "Addazio will turn out to be a great hire"

Personally, I think this is a loss because PP was a great DLine coach and seemed to help curb Dazoo's imbecilic gameday decisions. That said, one thing Daz has consistently done well at BC is hiring quality assistants. So long as he dips into his long list of contacts, I think we'll be fine. All bets are off if he does one of those internal, back-fill promotions.

Patricia was on his staff at Cuse... and Patricia cites PP as a mentor. Seems like a similar situation as to what he has at BC... but likely for significantly more money.

Is anyone familiar with Bill Sheridan? He's coming in, unless he pulls a McDaniels.

Really??? The former Giants DC?

If so, he's old (60) but a great LB coach. Not so much DC. He was on Coughlin's staff as LB coach. Was promoted to DC when Spags left. Was fired after the season. Looking at IBpedia, there isn't any onvious overlap with Daz (nor anyone else on the staff). Resume-wise, it seems like a very competent hire... but one that is bizarre given the lack of ties.

For those looking towards the future, Bill Sheridan was Schiano's DC in Tampa. Mike Sullivan (who was Giants OC, but now unemployed) was his OC.

Sheridan and Addazio worked together at Notre Dame in Davie's last year. He hasn't recruited in a decade, but from a teacher standpoint is a good replacement for Coach P. But Pasqualoni wasn't a road warrior recruiter either.

When your entire model for success is built on developing players, you can't have enough good teachers.

When Addazio promoted Antoine Smith to the 10th assistant spot, what was his offical title/role ? Will he take over for Pasqualoni ? A hockerrection article said he would work alongside P.

The article referencing Sheridan is saying hes coming as a LB coach ? Isn't that Reid's role, as DC/LB coach ? Or would Sheridan come in as DL coach. I imagine many of these positions are somewhat interchangeable on a coaching staff especially for someone who was an NFL DC.
