Considering a stat like that, it is astounding that last year's team really only got their arses beat in 2 games (Pitt and Lville).

I think we will look back and realize Tyler Murphy was really special. One of those guys who was a damn good college player who lacked the whatever to be in the NFL. Like a football version of Bobby Hurley in hoops. Don't tell me about Hurley's rings. No Laetner, no Hill...no rings for little Bobby.

Your last point about Hurley kind of contradicts your first. Murphy was so good that he won with no talent around him, but he was like Hurley in that he wouldn't have won without the superb talent around him.

I see your point. I was looking for a guy who was greatish in college but who just did not translate to the pros. Hurley came to mind because I just watched the 30/30 on Laetner.

Tyler Murphy falls into the option QB that doesn't throw well enough to fool the NFL teams like the Raiders and Redskins and Jets category. Darius Hagan

Watched two interesting ESPN specials.
I don't watch ESPN that often but it was on when I turned the tv on.

The first was ahout the 83 draft's plethora of A list QBs. I think it was called Elway to Marino.
The second was on the six QBs picked before Tom Brady in 2000. I'm not a Patriots fan but it was entertaining to learn the backstory on these guys picked ahead of him as well as his QB rivals along the way. He had awful mechanics in high school but you could see as he went to Michigan and then on to the NFL.

Highly recommend watching them if you love old NFL film.

There's no way to know how these guys will pan out, but I'm disappointed in the Giants for drafting Flowers last night. He wasn't even first team All-ACC and the Miami offense sucked when Duke Johnson was hurt. I wanted an offensive lineman, but not this one.

They wanted the dude from Iowa and he was off the board. They would've been better off with Erving or the kid from A&M.

How dumb are the Colts?

or the chargers trading up in the 1st round to draft a RB? in 2015 aren't we smarter than that?

Yeah, that wasn't bright, but the team that made the AFC Championship Game despite getting steamrolled by a UFA RB in the regular season skipping on the #2 DT in the draft all the way down at pick 29 takes the cake.

Vardaro seemed the hardest hitting BC OL the past few years.

Mihalic always impressed me as too slow for DE and too tall for DT, I thought they might try to convert him to OT.

Mihalik obviously has great size and tested very well throughout the draft process. Philly obviously looks at him as a risk/reward project but he defiantly has upside. I'm sure Day vouched for him.

I always thought he was one of the most affected by the spaz regime. They had him do nothing. I think if he had 4 years under the current staff he probably goes higher.

I happened to randomly catch the draft when Gallick was drafted. Very interesting comments made by McShay and Polian. Both said he wasn't the typical BC OLineman in terms that he lacks athleticism. However, they both said that when you grab an OL out of BC you know they are solid on technique and attitude as it is the best program in college in focusing on OL. Pretty much an example of how the NFL will overlook measurables based upon a school's rep.

Has Shakim not even gotten a minicamp invite? After his sub 4.4 forty that's kind of shocking to me.
