Let's hope this is the last year of an 8 game schedule and that they adopt a 9 game schedule with 1 rival and 8 round robin opponents. That way BC plays every ACC team, including ND at least 1x every 3 years. Right now it is almost like 2 leagues the way the crossover schedule works. The schedule has gotten real stale and with the bad (up to this upcoming season at least) OOC schedule, there is nothing to draw anyone to games.

They're not going to a 9 game conference schedule in the foreseeable future. This was announced like a year ago.

Best idea I've seen was from BCI, 3 annual opponents and 5 rotating, which would mean you're playing each of the other teams every other year. I think the proposal I saw had Syracuse, Pitt, and Wake as BC's annual opponents although I'd replace Wake (or even Pitt for that matter) with Miami. Either way something has to change, the fact that we play the Coastal schools (other than VT) only once ever 6 years and only host them once every 12 or whatever it is is ridiculous.

I enjoy playing Clemson, fsu, and virginia tech every year so I hope they don't change anything.

The cross over rivalry is incredibly dumb, but must protect U vs FSU

If the ACC gets the autonomy to decide who plays in the ACCG then that becomes a valid option.

Four home games in a row (five if you count UMass as home accessible) early and four road games in a row late (broken up by a bye). Looks like we have the potential to get off to a decent start. Our toughest stretch (@VT, Louisville, FSU) is broken up by a bye.

Feels like its been a while since our last home game that was as late as the Syracuse game (I could be wrong) but I'm excited for that, I like cold weather games

How are you calculating 4 road games in a row?

Illiteracy mostly.

Only 1 home game in all of October? Bummer. October is the best month to visit the Heights. Stating the obvious here, but that Clemson game is going to be a big draw.

I'm disappointed with the October thing, but I'm pumped to have 7 home games.

I am disappointed that we never seem to get a decent distribution of home games across the season in general. We shouldn't be pumped for 7; it should be the norm (if everyone else can and does do it). Blame for recent <7 home skeds probably lies with the folding of NU and Hofstra programs and Army's shiftiness, but I'm going to blame Flipolean instead.

True, two years in a row of 6 home games lulled me into a sense of that being the norm. I, too, blame the greaseball.

if we beat pitt, southern cal or the clemson we could be...

general assumption:

umass - win
pitt - ???
usc - ???
maine - win
colorado state - win
rcc - win
teh clemson - ???
wake - win
vpi - ???
'ville - ???
fsu - ???
cuse - win

this ignores the lack of a returning qb and a missing heisman candidate as well as assumes last year's sucky teams remain just as sucky
