Love a first time matchup- Where are the best cheap BC seats for this - the left field bleachers?

for games in baseball stadiums, i've usually aimed to get as high of seats as possible to actually be able to see the game

I just got an email about a pre-game party at Billy's Sports Bar. But I am bringing up a lot of people and that will probably be too pricey.

I've never been to Yankee Stadium. I see that the website says there is no tailgaiting in Stadium parking lots/garages. Does anyone know how strictly that is enforced? I assume it means no grills, but can people just bring hoagies and a cooler and hang out? Anyone know if there are other lots you can tailgate in?

Billy's is huge, they probably have non BC event space as well. I'd suggest Stan's Sports bar, right near it. As far as tailgate, the Yankee Stadium area is always packed to the gills with cops for games so you never know, but you're probably fine with no grills and just hanging out, sandwiches, beer - people do it, at least for baseball. Also, I haven't done it, but I've heard people hang out in Macombs Dam Park (the site of the old Stadium) and tailgate too. If you park next to the stadium in one of the Yankee garages you're gonna be forever getting out, fyi. There are private lots around a few blocks where you'll be in and out a lot easier.

last two times we parked in the harlem river lots and for the pedo state pinstripe there was mid 00s shea field tailgate (kegs thrown in river, etc)

will poke around to make sure that's an option again if the weather holds

Will there be lines at the bars (I have never been to the new Yankee stadium).
Also, mid 90s Shea > mid 00s Shea.

Parking has changed a lot, I used to park there all the time and they may be gone or harder to get to based on my last 2 experiances.

Yeah, they Billy's pregame is way overpriced.

As for the garages, they probably wont care if you are just drinking, but will if you grill.

I talked to my ticket guy. The delta club/suite sold out fast like by last Tuesday and everything else has been beyond slow.

People not able to get inside the suite are opting for the cheapest option which makes sense but overall we have not sold a lot of tickets (this was as of Thursday). :ace

Well I just bought 16 seats. Hopefully that helps. Weather looks ok - 43 degrees with clouds and sun.

I think a lot of BC fans dont buy through the school, always the way. I can still get suite tickets, so why bother sitting outside the whole time

Phoenix BC alumni association will be meeting at 7575 N. 16th Street, Phoenix, 10AM. I will try to be there.

The chief complaint I am hearing is that BC didn't tell people when they bought the seats they were not eligible for Delta suite (they were being held for donors). So a lot of people now have shitty field tickets thinking they bought delta tickets that they paid $150 for with the weather showing cold and rain. Hence, why BC fans don't buy through the school. :ace

Playing in the bowl games should be a conditon for receiving a football scholarship.

This. people within Yawkee are not happy with Conley for opting out so that he did not jeopardizing his (potential) future arena football career.

Yeah that was lousy.

Oklahoma was down 26 transfers for game with Navy. Washington State was down 32!

i can get ez opting out. conley was a joke.

delta suite was the right move for yesterday. weather wasn't bad, the pitt game was far worse. good bc crowd, not as good as the pedo game and better than iowa. i didn't go to billy's pregame ($100 for 4 warm budlights and congealed chicken fingers wasn't appealing) but the bars were going at 9 AM

james doesn't have a big arm but the ball gets where it needs to. the OL was a mash unit + the field makes it hard to read much into offense.

raiola is added to the hit list, what a tool

My guess is BoB wasn't happy about it and was why he wouldn't mention him. Conley was on the sideline. Did anyone see Horsley, Tripillo, Ward, Horsley, Donovan or Brown? I heard Ward was hurt.

Double this.

And can't they change things so that the portal doesn't open until the last bowl game is played? Also, you should only get one consequence-free transfer in a 5-year college football career. Any more than that, and you have to sit out a year.

We went to Stan's pre and post-game. It was kinda like going back to MA's, but somehow with a smaller bathroom. Good times. There was a Nebraska fan there who was a dead ringer for Craig T. Nelson. Overall it was a fun experience; the weather could have been far worse. Went out for dinner in Little Italy afterwards. Look forward to visiting Yankee stadium again for a baseball game.
