The game against the Notre Dame fighting Irish did not come out the way we were hoping as fans of Boston College.
The way I see it, head coach Steve Addazio needs to win more football games, and particularly important football games, in order to claim he is a successful coach. In order to win you need to score more points than the opponent, whether they be on offense, defense or special teams. This week, they failed in nearly every aspect of the game and he has a history of fielding football teams that have trouble scoring points. I would argue that Steve Addazio needs to focus an producing offensive game plan that results in more points on the board; he has produced some good defensive teams but consistently come up short in the scoring column. If he can't accomplish that, at some point we should begin looking for alternatives who can match offense and defense, merely sporting a nice mustache with a last name that ends in a vowel probably won't be enough to be successful at Boston College and in the ACC. Now is the season oven? No. On the other hand, are we off to a bad start? Certainly. Boston College needs to turn things around and win more games if we want to be able to reflect on the 2017 season and believe it was a good one.
That's the way I see it.
