fs33 {l Wrote}:Big week for Dalton. Decommits AND gets better at football. He's now a three star.

Well... the only reason he was ever a 2-star on Rivals in the first place is because he verballed to BC.

This + discussion of hip fluidity + the ability ton converse with the likes of marin & patriotgolfer all for the low price of $9.99/month!

When daz / staff reference a smaller class, it's probably in relation to the 25-27 they've brought in each of the first 2 years

Ragan is a 2* and rated the #2 player in MA. Dalton is a 3* and the #3 player in MA.

Makes total sense

Makes perfect sense. If Ragan is so concerned about stars, he should de-commit so he too can get a bump.

who was the player who was rumored to go to BC so he instantly fell a star?

i trust daz & co's talent evaluation (especially on the OL) better than TGOSB

Since decommiting, Dalton has picked up offers from Vandy, Arkansas, UNC and Penn State according to TOS

Another year we are going to watch the best player in MA go out of state.

Having said all this, the kid is a complete clown. Retweeting all his new offers from Rivals, etc. is ridiculous, but BC isn't getting to these magical 10 win seasons without significant talent. We still needs kids like this.

The only positive I can see out of Dalton heading out of state is that, at least for the first 2 years, Addazio has only used the TE position in a blocking roll, where losing someone like Dalton is not a loss. He seems to be more of an offensive talent.

That being said, if they can get a commitment out of Noah Davis this weekend, its a moot point

If he never got the Bama offer, he stays committed, never gets another offer and is an afterthought in the class where folks talk about how we aren't getting a ten-win season loading up on Mass kids like Dalton. Just saying.

This isn't remotely true. I point to his catch in the Mass SB which makes it pretty clear he can play.

BC needs to keep the top kids in Mass home. Outside of one or two kids, Daz has let the mediocre talent from MA go elsewhere instead of wasting a spot for four years on him. I don't want the kids ranked 6-whatever in Mass, but losing the top ranked player (which is where Dalton ends up) year after year is frustrating.

The staff did the right thing and I don't fault them at all, but losing him doesn't make it any less frustrating.

I'm not remotely frustrated about losing Dalton. In fact, I like the film of the St. X kid better.

1. Losing a fucking TE, no matter how highly rated, is never a big deal. Or have we forgotten how great Jordan McMichael, Darmstatter and other TE have been, changing the program after getting baby rapists offers and picking BC.

2. Happy Easter.

Noah Davis is the anti-Dalton.

1. From St. X. Not from Marsh-Vegas.

2. From the social media perspective, is not a major attention whore.

3. Watch his tape. I want this kid becuase he's a pass-catching tight end who uses the first full minute + of his highlight tape to showcase his blocking.

Soar, Noah. :screamyeagle

Bigger than the connection to Allen is Addazios relationship with the NC coach Lou Marinelli. They are very close from Addazios CT days and his connection to Pasqaloni. Believe Niang has a Penn State offer but BC should be a strong player for him

Rapper Drake’s latest mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late has spurred on numerous jokes and memes, and we’ve seen various college sports programs make them on social media. Now, Boston College football is getting in on the trend in its recruiting efforts. Three star wide receiver Seth Dawkins, of Columbus, Ohio, posted a letter he received from the Eagles staff, which mimics the mixtape cover, reading “If you’re reading this, you should commit to Boston College.”
Well played, Coach Addazio and staff. We’ll have to wait and see if this helps BC land any new dudes over the next few weeks.

And shockingly McPhearson sent his 3rd kid to a non-BC school. I will again point out that players/alums from that era still think BC is a commuter school.

That said, it seems like this recruiting season is going slower than previous Dazoo years.

Quansah has Duke 1, Michigan 2 and Vandy 3. Also Stanford would be a game changer if they offered. However, we are reportedly in "his group of schools he likes." Isn't that special?

Agree with your sentiments. Until those shitbirds at BC finally make a decision to commit to big time football, don't be surprised to see more locals jump on the Duke bandwagon. Currently, Duke is more committed to winning than BC, and it shows.

Bunch of hypocrits. When a kid picks a factory we ask where the parents were in the decision-making process and then joke about Wall Street prospects. However, when a kid prioritizes academics, we talk about how much better we are at football. Quansah has Stanford, Duke and Vandy ahead of BC. Any of us would have Aaron Hernandezed our best friend to have that a Top 4 when deciding where to attend college.
