Morons thought Rettig was a bust and when Suntrup didn't take the job, they declared him a bust too. I will wait until I have seen him throw.

It comes from 3 passes in the spring game and rumors posted by HomoJS and rktbrkr during camp last summer. Hardly justification for the bust label.

I have no idea if Suntrup is good - or not. Just asking.

I did recall see this.http://eagleoutsider.com/phpbb/search.php Not a credible source, I guess (gasses quite a bit though)???

Hope Suntrup is great. I was a little surprised he did not make it onto the 2-deep this year. Also, surprised he did not get a little bit of PT -- just to start getting a feel for ACC competition.

Why couldn't he beat out Bordner for the 2nd spot?

To what point, the point at which one exists? Because I don't know why you would trust him beyond saying "This is a depth chart."

is Rettig the best QB? yes. ok. I trust that listing.

Should KPL be a starting OLb? Yes. still trusting.

Should Cran Shannmore be on the 2 deep? probably not. Still trusting...

etc. We can all draw a line where we start having doubts about Spaz's judgment.

Howevr, you can't just chalk up Suntrup invisibility to Spaz's idiocy. If Suntrup was really excellent -- a starter in waiting as we all hope -- Martin, for one, would have wanted to get him some reps in case Rettig was hurt. It did not happen over 11 games.

Hence, my right eyebrow is raised ever so slightly.

In the spirit of "the best players should play, period", I think Simmons was deserving of playing this year, but who else should have? Did Crimmins really need to play? Mahachi Moore 3/4 of the way into the season?

What was the name of the quarterback you loved? #7, IIRC. You had his pic as your sig for a year or so.

Did Shinskie play at all last year? I don't think he did, in which case it wouldn't matter

Yes he played last season against UMASS and CLEMSON.
Would not be a bad idea for him NOT to play this weekend and have him avail next season.

Spaz better not play Shinskie, leave the 5th year decision to the new coach

Suntrup and Bordner Tebow should be ahead of Shinskie

Despite the support of Spaz by the players this week in the media, word is that players have been faking injuries so they don't have to make the trip to Rolly.

Disgustiad. The players owe nothing to fuckface but they owe it to each other to play.

I haven't heard that rumor, but adding onto homojs's link explosion. We all know the type of players BC makes available to the media aren't going to say anything inflammatory and the media is too buddy buddy with spaz to ask any probing questions so based off the players quotes they can build a narrative.

The thing I chuckled at is Spaz saying he only has 3 recruiting classes, so for those who credited Keuchly to Spaz as an example of Jags not recruiting, the fight goes continues.

I wish it were just a rumor.

On a different note, what is that "alumni meeting" comment all about? I also love that he admits he has no idea what anyone is thinking...ever.

Sounds like Spaz is referring to Bates' group of unofficial alumni advisors - a group supposedly advising on picking a new coach.

But does Spaz still think that he might be the coach next year? Or that he has a chance of continuing?

Maybe he's talking about the gridiron club? I have no clue how often they meet/the pressure they put on spaz. Can't recall any posters saying they're members

I believe former players were invited to meet with Spaz before one of the games. I think Maryland.

He could be referencing all the alumni calling for his head. He's stupid but he can't be deaf to all the calls for his head.

Well after the students chanting fire spaz and there being a fire spaz banner on campus for the past week and every gameday, I can't imagine he's that oblivious
