He hit a pitch that he knew was coming against the worst team in MLB playoff history. Mr. October!

This is the time when people need to remove the homer glasses and give credit to a guy for hitting a bottom of the ninth, game tying home run. Honestly. It was a shitty pitch yes, but give credit when it's due. Huge hit.

It was a huge hit, no doubt. I just dislike A-Rod. He's been a d-bag for a long, long time. I played against him in high school and he was a dick even then.

I don't like him all that much either, but it's pretty weak to totally dismiss a hit as big as that by saying "He knew it was coming and the Twins stink."

Sweet baserunning you AAA fuck.

.167. He did hit hit .400 in the 2007 playoffs though.

My TV has this crazy ability to switch from TBS to TNT and back in like... half a second, so I'm doing that.

It is inconceivable that the Twins won a division. What an awful team.

The pink hat nation is getting a wittwe jeawous again. The Red Sox are just not very good. Deal with it.

Well the Sox will win two in Fenway, but since they cannot hit on the road, we're staring at a game 5 loss.

Pointing out how bad the 86-win Twins are makes Red Sox fans jealous? How so?

Yankees fans should be rooting for the Red Sox to beat the Angels. The Angels are simply better. And now they have Nick Adenhart's spirit to cancel out Yankee Stadium's "mystique" and "aura".

the card's postseason run is over before it even started.

to all those suffering from today's BC bloodbath look on the brightside... you didn't have to stomach a second shitfest like i did. watching the Cards put up no fight today was the final straw in a completely shitty day. :suicide

The Angels infield is ridiculously weak at the plate. If the Sox bats don't wake up, this series is an embarrassment.

When did Scott Kazmir turn into Jamie Moyer? He couldn't break a plane of glass right now. He was lucky only to give up 5 runs so far - he is getting hammered.

Well, he was traded straight up for Victor Zambrano once upon a time...

So we wouldn't want that run in the second inning? Does it count less then?

I do. I think "thank god the Angels don't play Moneyball or this abortion of a baseball game would go even more than 3 and a half hours" and "thank god golf is on to add some excitement to this afternoon."

You're right. Abreu isn't a moneyball player at all. He never works counts or takes walks. If the Angels hadn't foolishly sent Willets in and had him thinking steal, he never would've been picked off and the Halos would be winning by 4.

You are a pretty shitty fan if you're actually watching the President's Cup right now.*
