Neither have the Sox, apparently. That being said, they opened on the road. Win 2/3 against the Yankees and its practically a wash, then two more series at Fenway. Talk to me at 0-15.

Yeah, I forgot today was even a day game. I didn't even know they had lost until the Yankee fan pointed it out. It's hard for me to get excited about baseball when it is still below 50 ferchrissakes.

proud. Every winning team has annoying bandwagon fans. Would you not want BC to win a national title if it meant more non-alums started showing up at Alumni?

I was actually making 2 separate points:
1) I hate "Red Sox Nation" and everything about it. Red Sox fans are incredibly annoying and have become a cariacature of themselves.
2) The 2011 Red Sox roster is overpriced mediocrity. That's where the Mets comment comes in. Beckett, Dice, Lackey will again combine to make about $40 million / year of mediocre starts. Carl Crawford isn't close to being a $20 mil / year player even though I actually like him.

Agreed. And, the Penn Brewery as well as the South Side bars are good places to drink away a weekend. Hence, I would like to go see the Sox play there when teams meet in late June.
