Struggling in my H2H league, my plan was to get some injured bargains at the auction (Headley keeper, got Hanley) survive for April and then have depth. Problem is more players have gotten hurt (Cespedes & Weaver) or struggled (Hosmer, Asdrubal Cabrera, Dickey).

Starting to get healthy, but Prado getting 2B eligiblity (2 more games!) so I can dump Uggla would be huge

Prado's hitting about .210 this year.

My team is awful. Josh Beckett is my #3 starter Ive had so many pitching injuries

Well sure but in his 4 full seasons he's hit: .307, .307, .260, .301

All of Prado's figures are pretty much right at his career norm so you can probably chalk most of it up to bad luck that will probably reverse in a little bit. Might be a good buy low candidate if you need help that way.

I haven't traded him, so I enjoyed that. Especially since Lester is getting blown up. E5's owner kept dragging his feet about whom he would want from me and then Encarnacion went on a tear so now he doesn't want to trade him at all. I still need to trade a pitcher for more power. I'm in first place right now but I just lost Stanton for at least a month and I'm third to last in home runs.

If you are third from the bottom in HR, yet still in first, can you just write off power as a category? I mean, you can only lose 2 more points. Is your lead in other categories just unsustainable?

Interesting idea, but I think it's too early to punt a category. The only category I've seen punted in my league was saves. Right now the home run category is close enough that I can easily add to my lead with a few more dingers. I've since moved up one spot and I'm only one HR behind the next guy. Overall I'm ahead of the second place team 97 to 83.5, but teams are still jumping around a lot because there are lots of close categories.

If you're looking for a spark, pick up Marcell Ozuna of the Marlins. They just called him up from AA to replace Stanton and he's off to a great start. Scouts love his power. I just picked him up.

I love Clay but with Stanton, Granderson, and Reyes out I need to bring in a big hitter. I think this deal helps us both and it's hard to say no to Braun. Now I'm going to be paranoid about MLB suspending him.

I'd be thrilled if I were you. There's no way MLB comes down on him by October, but I get why it'll still be in the back of your mind.

I finally ditched Rickie Weeks (who hadn't seen the field for me in some time).

Half a point out of first, I am really liking my mix of experience and youth. And I still have guys like Kemp and Zimmerman who have not even turned it on yet. I've been trying to buy low on David Price - but I may still be able to get him around the All Star break. If only I had kept Marte like I originally planned, I'd easily be in first.

Just stashed Garza this weekend (better early than late)...definitely seemed like the better get over Hudson, Pineda or Lewis.

I was able to get Heath Bell on the cheap because everyone was bidding on Tawakawaka. Bell's overall stats may be way better, but the job is his to lose, unlike Tazawa who will hand it back to Bailey soon.

Same here with Ike Davis. Would've been a lot earlier if he didn't have about 45 HRs in the second half of last year but we have short benches and he is a black hole of suck.

I've fallen to second place. I'm worried I may fall more. Getting Granderson back from the DL and trading for Braun haven't stopped the skid. Phil Hughes' awesome 94.5 ERA against the Mariners was the cherry on the shit Sunday.

One of those funny things - I'm second in HRs but close to the bottom in RBIs. I may need to start flipping out SB/AVG guys for better RBI guys that I currently have on my bench just to make sure I don't fall too far behind.

About to cut Lincecum lose and sit Kemp's ass on the pine. No one fell for me trying to sell Masterson high. Can Corbin and Shelby Miller keep this up? My team's been jumping around from 7th to 4th place the last few days. Right now I'm in sixth. I just traded Doug Fister for Nelson Cruz. Now I'm trying to trade for a better 2B/SS since the Slickie Weeks trade obviously hasn't worked out so far.

Sort of stuck in no man's land with my team.

I'm close to the leaders (H2H, points btw) but not sure if I have the horses to make a huge run for the $. I have several underperforming, Headley & Dickey, or coming back from injury, Hanley & Weaver, that could most certainly propel me towards the top.

But I also have some very good keepers & valuable pieces that I could parlay into excellent keepers. Have Goldschmidt, Latos, Jose Fernandez & Wheeler, also Carlos Gomez who has been raking.

Not sure what to do with Puig, doubt there's an owner to buy high on but who knows.

I traded for Braun earlier in the season and I just traded for Nelson Cruz before the PED news broke, so I'm not really sure what's going to happen there.

I also just traded Juan Pierre for Jedd Gyorko, so hopefully he can fill the huge gap I have in middle infield.

Giancarlo Stanton is due back sometime next week, possibly Monday, so that will be sweet. I need to make room for him though--I want to trade high on Daniel Nava or Colby Rasmus. I'm probably going to try and drop Rickie Weeks for Emilio Bonifacio, in case I need some steals. I think I'm ready to give up on Weeks since he's platooning with a rookie now. I just picked up Gordon Beckham so he and Gyorko make stashing Weeks a real burden at this point.

Someone just tried to trade me Weeks and a 4th round pick for Cano and a 6th. I didn't even entertain a counteroffer there.

With the official halfway point on Sunday, some teams have started . At this point I have a 5 point lead over second with third place being 20.5 behind and a huge group of teams in the 33-45 back range.

I got Strasburg, Scutaro, and current cap for Tony Cingrani, Corey Hart, and future cap.
Then I got Kimbrel and current cap for Wheeler and future cap.

I think Shleby Miller will run into an innings cap, so I found a suitor for him (who wants to keep him next year). But am not sure I want to pull the strings because I need RBI more than anything else (if Matt Kemp comes around, I can't see anything other than a first place finish with my current team remaining mostly healthy). The deal would be me getting Reyes and Altuve for Miller and Kemp - it can't work with salaries unless I include Kemp. I currently start Desmond at SS and platoon Seager and Scutaro at 2B. I feel it's definitely an upgrade on my side, but Reyes and Altuve don't get me the RBIs I need. Plus Desmond has been living up to last year. Thoughts?

I also have Gerrit Cole dangling out there - wish he would strike some people out, though.

A mixture of underperforming key players (Dickey, Prado, Headley, Cespedes, JUpton after the first 2 weeks) and injuries (Weaver, HanRam, Headley, essentially all of my closers) did me in.

I do have some attractive keepers for next year though: Latos, Jose Fernandez, Wheeler, Goldschmidt, Puig.

My key pieces to deal away to a contender are Lee & Yadi Molina.

What do people think of Iwakuma? Have to admit east coast bias, never have watched him pitch so only know what I see in the box score.

I don't know what to expect from him to be honest. He might be worth trading to a contender if you can get a good keeper for him. Otherwise I like the keepers you listed, particularly Puig and Goldschmidt.

I'm currently tied for 5th place but I am only 4 points behind second place, so I am still in it. The first place guy is starting to run away with it though. I just got Reyes off the DL so he's given me a little spark. I still have Braun, Granderson, and Gyorko on the DL. I need pitching help and I have had Pineda and Colby Lewis stashed on the DL all season, plus I also stashed Wandy and Morrow when they were dropped (we get 8 DL spots so I'm a big stasher).

I'm a fan but expect some regression. I got him in as a piece in a trade where I offloaded CC and Matt Moore, among other pieces, but looking at the numbers nothing screams overly lucky like Moore's did. He's going to fall back a little since his BABIP is at .228 which is absurd but he should still be a fairly effective pitcher. I'm certainly enjoying the results he's provided me outside of a couple of recent starts.

I had Goldschmidt earlier but traded him and Lackey for Cain and Pujols. And then the dude dropped Lackey for some stupid reason and I grabbed him again. I really liked that trade.
