In Bobby V's defense, it's not like the front office left him with much of a bullpen to work with.

Agreed, this team is pretty handedly the 3rd best in the division.

Sure it's been a tough schedule which doesn't help but what exactly do you want Bobby to do?

Saturday, his starter had thrown nearly 100 pitches, he went to the bullpen to get 9 outs up 8 runs.

Both the Yankees and Red Sox are terrible. If it weren't for the extra wild card, either would need tremendous luck to make the post season. The Yankees are more likely because they still have a potent offense in a tiny ballpark with the best closer ever.

I also think the extra wildcard is weird. I know more playoff games = more money but they're only adding one more game.

Even weirder, on MLB Tonight they were saying that all of the lower seeds are going to get to play the first two games at home in each series, and for some reason there is nothing MLB can do to fix that? :shrug

When was the last time the losing pitcher grounded into a DP in an AL game?

If you want to hear Beckett be nailed to the proverbial cross, tune into 98.5 right now. Felger is about to eviscerate him. I've been looking forward to this all day.

They've been talking about this on the radio all week. The ticket brokers are selling day of game tickets for under $5. You can get next day tickets for under $10.

Whoever said they were in the RF roof box - that's probably my favorite section of the park.

I tried 3B Pavilion Standing Room last week for the Sat. O's game. There was a row of bar seats right in front that looked unsold so we just moved down and sat there the whole game. Great view and even if you had to stand it was worth the price. I'd prefer to stand up there and have good sight lines rather than squeeze into a seat with a typical Fenway view.

Sox @ Phillies and Celtics @ 76ers coincide this weekend. There will be a lot of Boston fans there, and as a result, lots of fights between Irish people and Italian people.

I considered it and then realized I don't attend sporting events in Philly for my personal safety.
