The best two free agents that I can see.

Who knows what Nady's elbow is like, and Damon and Matsui are both 35+, Matsui may go back to Japan.

The other is Rich Harden P.

Yankkes sign these 2 and Wang makes a comeback, the Dynasty may roll ona 2 more years.

Rich Harden and AJ Burnett on the same roster. Holy shit why don't the Yankees sign up Pavano again while they're at it.

Strange I was gonna make a joke like my season prediction that Pavano would win 30.....

He did work like hell last year?

I ask myself year in and year out..is this the year Pavano wins 30,

4 more at $60M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harden is tough to deal with as a fan. He can throw lights out but there's a lot of nonsense that comes along with him, like averaging about 5+ innings per statt, starting a maximum of 26 or so games per season and this "I like pitching at night so I don't get fatigued" crap. When he's good, he's all-star caliber but he can't last a full season. It's a big bet to sign him to a long-term deal.

Holliday is good but nowhere near worth the money that he is likely to get. I don't think St. Louis will try that hard to sign him and i'll be happy if they don't. i'd rather them lock up Pujols and use whatever other money left to improve the bullpen and to get a fifth starter.

Holiday gets $90M for 6 years.

Harden gets $45M for 4 years.

Baseball is loaded.

Good move by Billy Beane to dump Harden. Terrible move to rent Holliday for half a season. I don't know why any American league team would sign him.

I may have to stop watching baseball if Rich Harden gets 4 years at 45 mil.

He'll get $24 million for 3 years tops.

didnt holliday turn down 17 million per to be a Rockie? Borass is his agent so i'm sure he'll wind up getting around 20 million when you consider the lack of free agents available this year and the need of several teams to upgrade in the outfield.

Even if Harden gets 3 and 24, it gives hope to stiff's like Hedeki Irabu, Jose Lima, etc. They can't be a whole lot worse than Brad Penny or Smoltzy

Holliday is going to top $100 million. It's a very weak FA class so Boras will get someone to pay him what he wants. As a Sox fan, I'd be ecstatic if Damon left the Yankees. He's old and breaking down but a huge difference in the WS was that Rollins/Victorino are easy to pitch to whereas Jeter/Damon simply wore down pitchers before they got to the Teixeira/A-Rod middle of the order.

Damon is a real mystery.

He really did hustle, hit and play well in the post season, but he is $14--$16M for 2 years.

In other news the Red Sox just traded for Jeremy Hermedia. And all I can ask is why? I suppose he's a better option than Joey Gathright off the bench, but I can say that about every MLB OF and a ton of guys in the minors.

Abreu agrees to $19 million, 2-year deal
By GREG BEACHAM, AP Sports Writer

Buzz up! 32 PrintANAHEIM, Calif. (AP)—Bobby Abreu(notes) had no interest in spending another winter— or even another week—without an employer. The Los Angeles Angels were only too happy to oblige the slugger who transformed their lineup this year.

The veteran outfielder agreed Thursday to a $19 million, two-year contract to stay with the Angels rather than test the free-agent market again.

REDONKULOUS AND NUT CASES!!!

Typical Theo guy. He's been due to break out for years but he came cheap thanks to injuries/underperforming.

As long as he's being thought of as a 4th OF type for next season, I'm fine with it. Got him for nothing. If all goes well, he'll be Drew's eventual replacement.

Jeremy Hermida, three years ago, was one of the top 5 prospects in baseball. He's a guy who has been a tremendous disappointment in Miami, and would seem to benefit from a change of scenery. A very good move, as long as they don't view him as insurance for Jason Bay.

Matt Holiday sucks. He should do himself a favor and find a nice NL team to latch on with so he can be productive.

I would just like to add that Jay Z's 74 reached an all-time high today when he took LeBron's cock out of his mouth long enough to ride a float in the Yankee parade. Pathetic.

Jay Z riding a Yankee Victory float is the end of mankind.

After 50 years, I root for the Toledo Mud Hens.

Holiday's Coors/non-Coors splits are pathetic. No thanks.
