If Baldelli – a Cumberland native and recent graduate of Bishop Hendricken – honors his commitment to BC, he would have to wait a minimum of three years to re-enter the MLB draft. If he elects to come to terms with the Phillies, he immediately forfeits all four years of college eligibility and would likely be assigned to the Rookie Level Gulf Coast League.

He's a 39th rounder, so it's almost certain he will be coming to BC. The days are gone where teams would sign later round picks for large bonuses since players taken after the 10th round signed for over $100k count against the team's bonus pool, which takes $ away from the guys in the top 10 rounds.

Looks like Dante was one of only nine recipients nationwide to earn a Rawlings High School Gold Glove award.
