Crazy how deGrom wasn't even included much in all the mets young arms heading into the season.

Unfortunately they're eventually going to have to move some of these arms for a bat.

Also kudos to Sandy are due for the Granderson signing. Yeah he had a shitty April and that counts but May, June & July his OBP is .463, 13 HR, 40 BB/55 K in 59 games

I have to give kudos to Sandy for holding onto Duda and letting Ike go. I was an Ike guy, but it looks like I was wrong.

Trading some of these arms for a bat is a tough proposition. It's a seller's market for major league-ready hitters, especially if you're not willing (or able) to take on a bad contract. I think the Mets would get the best return making a deal similar to what the Cubs did in the Samardzija trade, but this would require more patience from the fan base, and I don't think the fans have any left.

There's smoke around these Carlos Gonzalez trade rumors and I don't like it.

His career OPS away from Coors Field is .755, and his Citi Field OPS is .469 in 43 plate appearances. One could argue that he wouldn't be among the top 10 hitting outfielders in the NL East should he land in NY. He's owed $53 million over the next 3 seasons. A career .755 hitter can be had on the free agent market for $50 million. Granderson is an .812 guy and they got him for $60. No need to trade a prospect.

Plus Hanley is a very shitty SS. If I recall, Cargo is at least a decent OF.

And I imagine Colorado wants Syndegaard or whatever his name is.
