I hate Tony LaRussa. It's night. Night is no time for sunglasses. Unless you're a douchebag. Using the transitive property, Wang kissed TREs wiener.

I'd have hated to see them pack it in even thought hotlanta blows because they are streaky as fuck and I don't think they can just switch on and off.

Between this and the BCgame I am a very angry person right now. Why lohse didn't throw a ball out of the strike zone to Howard is beyond me... Instead he throws a ball up in the zone where Howard can crush it. Never let the other teams best player beat you and that's exactly what happened today. What a wasted opportunity. Not very often Halladay spots you 3 runs. This would have been a much more interesting series had the cardinals won this one on berkmans HR. Oh well I guess Anything the cards do from here is more than I could have ever imagined for this season....

I could bathe in the crowd's reaction to the HR. Don't think I've ever heard a noise like that:

1-1

at least if the cards lose this series, i know that they put up a fight. that said, i expect the cards to win the next one to take a 2-1 series lead.

Dear Hansen,

Please tell Jon Jay if he goes at Chooch's head again, he's gonna get got (maybe). I want to see an Oswalt* heater to the side of his grill. There are rules to these things after all.

Thank you.

So if Edwin Jackson is still pitching in the 7th tonight, does Charlie put Joe Blanton in as his first pinch hitter?

I did not enjoy the strikeout throw out double play in which there was neither a strike nor a tag.

I wouldn't be too comfortable right now if I were relying on Chris Carpenter.

i never thought the cards would get this far after losing waino in spring training and then sucking for the better part of this year... they are playing really well right now. if i could have any current cardinal start this game then it would be Carp'. he's on full rest and he's such a competitor. does he have the stuff of halladay? clearly not anymore. however, the bottom line is that he's going to go out there and compete and give them the chance to win the game i'm sure.

this team remind me a lot of the '06 cardinals... they chose to get hot at the right time. :koolaid

Philly, Yanks, and Sox all choke their way out of the playoff picture. The 2012 Phillies will be just like the 2011 Giants - all pitching and no offense. And that offense gets even worse now that Howard tore his achilles.

Conrats on the win Hansen.

Teddy wasn't the only one who predicted this wrong.

Not to be a dick, but the general sense of entitlement of Phillies fans this year may have even exceeded that of Red Sox fans. So, I am not displeased by their early exit.
