I'm no expert on soccer and I get why you would leave him off the roster, but doesn't Wondo score every time he touches the ball? Every time I watch that dude scores. I know it was against B teams and such, but at some point, scoring is scoring.

I'm certainly aware of his athletic deficiencies and the reasons you might leave him off. Just making an observation. It's like Cris Carter and the "all he does is catch TDs line." Wondo is not very good - all he does is score goals.

I had to Wiki it to make sure, but such confirms what I was thinking - all Wondo does is score goals ... against crap teams. He has 9 international goals in 19 games. 7 are against absolute shit competition, while 1 each was scored vs South Korea and Mexico in friendly matches. His MLS goals tell the same story.

All sports have these types of athletes. They score a ton vs mediocre opponents, but are absolutely horrific vs. top opponents. Its like a basketball shooting guard. We all know guys who can shoot lights out ... until they reach a level of competition where they are just too slow to get a shot off. For some that is the NBA, for others, it is 8th grade.

The English have a phrase for this concept - "he has found his level". Wondo is a very good MLS/second division player, at that is it.
