Re: ND not selling out

Indeed. But ND keeps 100%. If BC goes to the Orange Bowl, it keeps a fraction. That's essentially the last financial incentive ND has to stay independent. They'll eventually join. Not in the near future, but certainly in the foreseeable future. There may always be non-monetary incentives for indepe...

Re: ND not selling out

Don't kid yourself. The SEC is the only conference in the country that would even consider turning down ND if they wanted to join. That said, the financial incentives ND used to have to stay independent are rapidly shrinking. The NBC deal isn't worth that much (if at all) more than major conference...

Re: ND not selling out

Why in the name of St. Ignatius should I give two shits about whether or not Notre Dame is selling out their games? Is there even a single reason? Agreed, Eagles fans should worry about their own attendance issues, not Notre Dame's. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3495/3974680441_a78...

Re: Is this a "Sod Game"

If you're referring to '93, I think you're way off. This picture is probably in the 2002-2004 range, maybe after the infamous "green jersey" game. Hell, isn't #8 in the background Eric "Daunte Culpepper II" Boatwright? In 1993, ND-FSU was at Notre Dame Stadium. So, it must be 20...

Re: Your Program is Going Downhill

Ever since BC jumped ship from the BE a few years ago, I knew this day would come when I'd watch BC fans scramble like a bunch of pussies because of their inept AD. You guys got what you deserved and it was a pleasure watching such a pitiful offense versus Clemson. Only Boston College would hire a ...

Re: Rumblings and it is worse than I thought

I just listened to Spaz's radio show. Meter does not even ask him about the OLIne. Is that too much to ask for?? Not that I expect much of a response, but not even a question. I can't even be mad at Spaz. Just complete incompetence. Are you seriously hoping for Meterparel to ask the tough questions...

Re: Who the F votes for Mumbles Menino!

The Menino vote count is not even most ridiculous on the ballot. City Councillor Chuck Turner won 53% of the vote, despite being under indictment.

Re: Yo Domers

So, you take a ton of Midwestern humidity, couple in 100,000+ fans screaming, Coach Weis's knee acting up, groaning and belching, headset feedback and you get a recipe for disaster. It's the responsibility of the referees' in that situation to blow an inadvertent whistle to deal with this. It's not...

Re: re Thanks for the invitation

ND sux. And has for some time. BC does not. Of course, BC's trophy case full of Big East and ACC titles are testament to this fact. Furthermore, the Eagles consistently compete for and participate in big January bowl games. Obviously, the series between the two teams (currently tied) has been recen...

Re: re Thanks for the invitation

Pretty impressive until you get to the DEAD STOP in 1988. ND USED TO BE good ............................ Good effort at smack talk, but I could say the same thing about Boston College and the year of 1940. If 21 years ago is ancient history, then 69 years must be an eternity of mediocrity. Fortuna...

Re: re Thanks for the invitation

I just found about this board. I figured I'd join in too. I'm not here to talk about the Irish, there are plenty of other sites where I can do that with a more welcoming community.
